For a large overseas payment, I suggest starting with Key Currency or Regency FX if you want help agreeing the exchange rate and payment instructions.
Fiberpay is my pick when a seven-figure property or investment-related payment needs coordination with your appointed lawyers or receiving professionals.
Include your UAE bank or an exchange house in the quote check, especially if you already hold the currency the recipient needs.
Before comparing prices, decide whether you are converting AED or sending an existing foreign-currency balance, because those are different payments.

Key Currency
Agree the payment with a currency specialist
Key Currency suits a substantial payment when you want to talk through the recipient amount and funding instructions before accepting the exchange rate.
I like that approach for a UK property payment, where the completion statement gives you a specific GBP amount to deliver.
You get personal contact rather than relying on an app’s amount box to answer questions about account ownership or the payment deadline.
Key Currency charges no separate transfer fee, with its conversion cost included in the rate and external bank charges considered separately.
Check the supplied collection account before paying, because sending AED abroad to fund a broker can involve a different bank-payment process from local AED funding.
Part of the transfer
What you get or need to agree
Service
Personal currency specialist, phone/email booking and bank-account payout
Cost
No separate Key Currency transfer fee, with FX margin in the quote
Funding
Bank instructions for the actual currency and collection account
Planning
Discuss a spot payment or an available future-rate contract
Recipient
Exact currency amount, account details and payment date
Process
Register, complete checks, agree the quote, fund and confirm receipt
The AED50,000 and AED250,000 results below cover several destination currencies, with the larger payment needing its own agreed quote.
I think the online view adds value when a large payment takes several stages, while the manager handles the questions behind those status updates.
Fiberpay
Coordinate the money with your appointed professionals
Fiberpay is a strong choice for a seven-figure payment where a lawyer, property agent or receiving fund needs to coordinate the timing.
You can prepare money in an own-name currency account with a dedicated IBAN, then authorise conversion and the onward payment.
The online platform shows balances and payment history, while the team liaises with your appointed professionals about the receiving instructions.
That is especially attractive when the recipient needs the funds ready for completion but cannot accept the payment immediately.
Agree the holding currency, funding route and any account charges before moving the balance, because UAE residency does not mean every currency has local UAE collection details.

I see the benefit in preparing and coordinating a complex payment, with the purchase or investment decision remaining with you and your appointed professionals.
Confirm which legal company executes the payment and how it holds the money, particularly if the currency will remain in the account before completion.
HSBC UAE
Move money between your own linked HSBC accounts
If you already have eligible Premier or Advance accounts in both countries, HSBC Global Transfers lets you move money between them without an HSBC transfer fee.
The daily maximum is US$400,000 or equivalent, with eligible destinations and currencies needing to match the accounts you have linked.
That is a strong option for moving your own savings, especially when the money already sits in the currency you want overseas.
For a different recipient or bank, use the relevant international-payment or Global Money service and check its own limit before assuming the same allowance.
HSBC’s conversion rate includes a margin, so a fee-free transfer still needs comparing when you are exchanging AED for GBP or another currency.
Part of the transfer
What you get or need to agree
Own accounts
Eligible Premier/Advance Global Transfers between linked HSBC accounts
Daily maximum

Other recipients

Funding

Process
Link eligible accounts or add the recipient, check the quote and send
My suggestion is to check this bank option first if both accounts are already open, then compare conversion cost before paying for a separate specialist arrangement.
Emirates NBD
Send through the bank holding your UAE balance
Emirates NBD charges no own sending fee for online or mobile international transfers, while branch charges depend on your banking package.
DirectRemit is a separate product for named destinations, so its fee and delivery features should not be applied to every international SWIFT payment.
For India or the UK, check whether the exact amount and recipient qualify before choosing DirectRemit over an ordinary international transfer.
The bank’s exchange rate can change the cost more than the sending fee, so request the net recipient amount for the whole payment.
I like the bank route when avoiding a separate collection-account payment makes the transfer easier, particularly if you already hold the receiving currency.
Part of the transfer

DirectRemit for eligible named destinations, otherwise appropriate international transfer

Cost

Funding

Process
Confirm the channel, recipient details, charges and payment reference
If the digital allowance is too low, discuss the larger branch arrangement before accepting a property deadline or planning several app payments.
Al Ansari Exchange
Discuss a substantial remittance with a local branch
Al Ansari is an option when you want a UAE branch to check your documents and receiving instructions before sending the payment.
Its online bank-funded allowance is AED150,000 per transaction, so the larger examples here need a separately agreed arrangement rather than repeated app payments.
If you use an Al Ansari mobile wallet instead, check its separate transfer limits before loading the balance for a large payment.
For a substantial bank-funded transfer, arrange the amount, accepted funding account and payment date with the branch before moving the money.
For personal UK or US transfers, its service-charge range is AED57.50 to AED100, with the final quote settling applicable tax and bank deductions.
I suggest including its full-sum quote for a payment to India or another supported destination, rather than assuming every exchange house is only for small remittances.
Part of the transfer

A branch conversation helps settle the payment instructions, but the overseas bank still controls when the recipient can use the funds.
Aspora
An app-based India payment up to AED150,000 per transfer
Aspora accepts UAE-funded AED payments to Indian bank accounts, with a maximum of AED150,000 per transfer and your own linked bank account or card.
That makes it a real option for an AED100,000 savings payment to India, while the larger examples here exceed its single-transfer allowance.
The fee is dynamic and shown before confirmation, so compare the total amount received instead of assuming the current transfer will be free.
You need the recipient’s account number, IFSC code and relationship to you, with UAE onboarding handled through CBUAE-regulated LuLu International Exchange.
I suggest using it for a supported India bank payment within the allowance, rather than forcing a seven-figure purchase through repeated app transfers.

The AED50,000 INR results show Aspora at a supported amount, with its larger single-transfer cap checked separately from your bank’s funding limit.
If you already hold US dollars, compare sending those dollars directly before converting them to AED and buying dollars again.
The dirham’s US-dollar peg does not eliminate bank or broker margins, and an AED-to-GBP or INR payment still faces the destination currency’s movement.
For a property bill, an account manager can help match the currency amount and date, while an exchange house offers a local branch conversation.
A bank can send directly from your balance, and an app suits a straightforward payment only when its funding and recipient allowances cover the sum.
Wise cannot accept a transfer funded directly from your AED bank account or card, so choose a service with a working AED payment method.
What are you moving the money for?
Leaving the UAE
Plan around your final salary or property proceeds and ask your bank what happens to account access when your residency status changes.
Update your identification and contact details, and keep access to the number needed for payment authorisation while the transfer is being completed.
Buying property overseas
Get the recipient’s exact currency amount and completion statement, then independently verify the lawyer’s account before arranging the exchange.
If you fix a future rate, agree the deposit, possible top-ups and cancellation costs before committing to a purchase whose date could change.
Moving savings to India
Check the receiving account type and purpose requirements with the Indian bank, including whether an NRE or NRO account is appropriate.
Choose a payment service whose own allowance and receiving route cover the full amount, keeping your bank’s funding approval separate.
Tuition, inheritance or a family gift
Prepare the invoice, estate records or gift explanation, together with the bank trail connecting the money to your UAE account.
Confirm the destination’s reporting and tax requirements separately, because the method used to transfer money does not settle those obligations.
Compare the full cost at your amount
For AED500,000, a 0.5% difference in conversion cost represents AED2,500, which can outweigh the fixed fee on a bank or exchange-house payment.
The comparisons below cover GBP payments to the UK and INR payments to India at AED100,000, AED500,000 and AED1 million.

Aani can speed up a supported domestic payment, but its scheme allowance does not guarantee your bank accepts the full amount or completes an overseas transfer.
Check whether the collection account is in the UAE or overseas, since international funding can add another bank stage before conversion begins.
For a completion deadline, get the cleared-funds cut-off from the company and allow for receiving-country holidays or further document checks.
How much can you send overseas from the UAE?
There is no single app or bank allowance covering every overseas payment, so confirm the service, channel, funding and recipient limits for your transaction.
A reporting or identification threshold is not a legal sending ceiling, and being below a threshold does not remove the company’s obligation to check the payment.

Do not break up the money to avoid checks, and agree any necessary funding instalments before a binding currency contract creates a payment deadline.

Salary savings

Invoice or completion statement and verified bank instructions
Ask about joint or third-party funding before sending, because a lawyer holding the money does not automatically make their account an accepted funding source.
For India, confirm the account number and IFSC code, while a UK GBP payment needs the receiving details suitable for that bank route.
Verify changed instructions using a trusted phone number, especially when a property agent or lawyer sends new details shortly before completion.
Send the payment and keep the reference
Settle the currency and recipient
Decide whether you are converting AED or sending an existing currency, then verify the recipient’s amount, account details and required arrival date.
Open the account and supply records
Complete identification and source checks early, including any residency update, then obtain a full-sum quote from the services matching your payment.
Agree and fund the transfer
Confirm the collection-account currency and location, bank charges and funding cut-off, then accept the quote and pay using the correct reference.
Confirm arrival or request a trace
Have the company confirm funding receipt, track the onward payment and ask the recipient to confirm the funds are available.
If the payment is overdue, request a trace and give the reference to the receiving bank so it can locate the transfer.
Check the company handling your money
A UAE exchange house’s CBUAE licence and a foreign broker’s payment agreement are different arrangements, so check the contracting company before funding the transfer.
For an overseas specialist, confirm the legal executor and client-money terms in your agreement rather than assuming UAE bank-deposit protection applies.
Check protection before holding a large balance
A payment account or forward deposit is not automatically protected like a personal bank deposit, and a licence does not guarantee immediate recovery if the company fails.
Check who holds your money and the applicable safeguarding or client-money terms before leaving a substantial balance ahead of the payment.
Use the company’s complaint process first, then the applicable external scheme, with Sanadak handling eligible complaints about UAE licensed financial institutions.
Retain the contract and receipts for your own records, and check any destination tax or reporting obligation arising from the underlying income, purchase or gift.
Wise results do not provide direct AED funding
Wise may appear in the comparison results, but you cannot pay for that transfer directly from an AED bank account or card.
Choose a service accepting your AED funding method, or confirm an eligible existing Wise-balance payment before treating its quote as an available transfer.
I suggest comparing the complete cost of your large transfer before committing to a quote or arranging the funding.
Compare a large transfer from the UAE
Enter your AED amount and destination, then compare the available results before agreeing the funding and recipient payment.
Our methodology & why trust us
We checked AED payments to the UK in GBP and India in INR at AED100,000, AED500,000 and AED1 million, with two shared smaller comparison amounts.
Our comparison figures are updated weekly or fortnightly, with final bespoke quotes confirmed before booking the payment.
I selected the services around personal-payment support, actual funding arrangements and local bank or exchange-house alternatives, without claiming completed-transfer testing.
Our review methodology explains the company assessments and commercial relationships behind our comparisons.
