We've compared the mid-market rate with the cheapest option each day (today it's Regency FX), across 30 days of comparisons for 30,000 PLN transfers to Ukraine.

Each line shows what the recipient gets when you send 30.000 zł, after fees, as quoted by each company. The mid-market line shows what 30.000 zł converts to at the real exchange rate, with no fees or markup. Rates are checked once a day. Sponsored placements never affect this data. There are no bank quotes for this period.

The dashed line is what you'd get at the mid-market rate with no fees, and the blue line is the cheapest option that day.

BLIK funds PLN deposits only

Some money transfer companies accept BLIK as a deposit method, which then switches to an internal network of bank accounts.

BLIK by itself cannot move money outside the country.

Gifts can need Polish tax paperwork

Sending money abroad is not itself a Polish tax charge.

A gift can still fall under Polish gift-tax rules depending on the recipient's tax position.

The closest family group can qualify for a full exemption.

Where Polish rules apply, a cash gift may need to be reported on form SD-Z2 within six months and documented through a bank, payment account or postal transfer.

BFG deposit protection applies to eligible bank deposits.

A non-bank transfer company normally protects customer money through safeguarding instead, so avoid leaving a large account balance there after the transfer.
