Wise is my pick for overseas bank payments using mid-market conversion, while Revolut can suit smaller weekday exchanges within its Polish Standard allowance.

For family payments to Ukraine, TransferGo's BLIK-funded bank route and Profee's eligible card delivery offer different ways to get money to the recipient.

Remitly adds bank, wallet and cash receiving on supported destinations, while Western Union suits cash funding through a staffed agent.

InternetowyKantor.pl is a local option for exchanging złoty and paying an overseas bank account, including euro SEPA payouts within its eligible free allowance.

I suggest choosing the receiving method first, then checking the final amount and funding cost for the same PLN budget.

My reviews of the services

Wise

Bank payments using the mid-market exchange rate

Wise converts złoty at the mid-market rate and charges a separate transfer fee, giving you a bank-payment option without an exchange-rate margin.

I like it for an overseas account payment when the recipient can receive a bank transfer and you do not need cash collection.

You can fund a PLN transfer from a bank within Poland, with card payment also available for eligible amounts.

The maximum is up to PLN5 million per transfer depending on the payment method, so larger payments should use the funding option shown for that amount.

Card limits are lower, and a payment accepted by the app still depends on completing any required identity or source-of-funds checks.

Wise does not accept cash deposits for PLN transfers, and you cannot send PLN funding through SWIFT from a bank outside Poland.

Bank funding usually takes around one working day, with conversion and recipient-bank processing contributing to the final delivery estimate.

Compare the receiving amount for your exact payment method, because the fee can change between bank-funded and card-funded transfers.

The recipient can use their existing bank account, so paying an overseas bill does not require them to register with Wise.

Revolut

Small weekday exchanges within the Standard allowance

Revolut’s free Standard plan includes PLN5,000 of monthly currency exchange before its fair-use fee applies, making smaller weekday payments worth considering.

I like it when you already have a funded Revolut account and enough allowance remaining for the planned conversion.

Exchange above the Standard allowance attracts a 1% charge, and weekend conversion has an additional 1% fee under the Polish tariff.

The conversion allowance applies to your monthly activity, so earlier exchanges can reduce how much of the next payment qualifies without that excess charge.

Revolut uses its own variable exchange rate, which means an exchange with no separate fee is not guaranteed to match the mid-market rate.

Payments to another Revolut customer and euro SEPA transfers can avoid an own sending fee, while other international payments can carry separate charges.

Check those sending charges alongside the exchange cost, particularly when the recipient needs a bank payment outside the SEPA area.

You can fund the account by bank transfer or eligible card, although certain card types can attract top-up charges.

This is an account-to-account payment option, so my suggestion is a remittance service instead when the recipient needs staffed cash collection.

TransferGo

BLIK-funded payments to Ukrainian bank accounts

TransferGo supports BLIK funding from Poland, with a fee-free sending option for eligible payments to Ukrainian bank accounts.

I'd say consider this route when you already use BLIK in your Polish banking app and your recipient wants the money deposited into their account.

The absence of a TransferGo sending fee does not remove the exchange-rate cost, and your bank can apply its own BLIK charges.

Compare the quoted hryvnia amount before approving the payment, rather than treating the fee-free label as proof of the lowest total cost.

Bank transfer and eligible card funding are also available, with the displayed options depending on the route and payment details.

TransferGo can offer different delivery speeds, but funding confirmation and verification checks still affect when a payment becomes available to the recipient.

A bank-funded transfer should come from an account in your own name, so avoid using another person’s account to bypass a funding problem.

Use the latest bank details displayed in TransferGo when paying manually, because its collecting accounts have changed under the Lithuanian operating entity.

For a recipient who prefers delivery to an eligible card, compare that receiving method separately against Profee’s card-transfer option.

Remitly

Family payments with bank, wallet or cash receiving

Remitly supports several ways for family members to receive money, including bank deposits and cash collection where the destination offers those options.

I like it when the receiving method is more important than keeping the whole payment inside a bank-account service.

Polish senders can pay through a bank account or eligible debit and credit cards, with Apple Pay and Google Pay also available where offered.

The options shown for your transfer control what you can use, and bank funding should come from the correctly named Polish account.

Check the recipient’s bank or collection partner before paying, because a country offering cash pickup does not mean every town has a convenient location.

The transfer fee and exchange rate can change with the payment and receiving methods, making the final amount a better comparison than the fee alone.

First-transfer offers can improve an initial payment’s price, but family support should be assessed using the normal repeat-transfer quote.

Faster delivery options are available on eligible routes, with the estimate depending on funding and any checks required before release.

If the recipient needs a fixed amount for a bill, enter their receiving currency and check the resulting total cost before confirming.

Profee

Delivery to an eligible Ukrainian bank card

Profee lets Polish residents send to supported Ukrainian cards, which suits a recipient who wants money available through the card they already use.

I'd say consider card receipt when it is available for the recipient’s bank and the quote compares well with a bank-account payment.

PLN funding options include BLIK and eligible Visa or Mastercard cards, with Apple Pay and Google Pay available where supported.

The receiving card must qualify for the route, so entering a card number does not establish that every bank or card type will accept delivery.

Bank-account receiving is also available on supported routes, but the options and quoted delivery time should be checked separately for that method.

Profee’s limits depend on your profile level and the destination, with additional verification potentially required before a larger payment proceeds.

The first-transfer commission promotion is conditional, and the exchange rate still affects how much reaches your family member.

For repeat payments, compare the ordinary receiving amount after any introductory offer rather than assuming the initial price continues.

Card payments can arrive quickly, but recipient-bank processing and compliance checks can extend the estimate beyond a few minutes.

Western Union

Cash payments through staffed agent locations

Western Union lets you pay at an agent in Poland and arrange overseas cash collection on supported routes, without requiring a bank account at either end.

I'd say consider that channel when you need to pay in cash and the recipient has a convenient collection location.

The online figures below cover a different channel from an agent payment, so check the cash-funded quote separately before deciding.

Online transfers funded by card are another option, but an online quote should not be assumed to match the price offered at an agent counter.

Compare the fee and exchange rate for the exact channel you intend to use, because both contribute to the amount the recipient receives.

Bank-account delivery is available on supported destinations, although that receiving method has different details and timing from cash collection.

The recipient needs matching identification and the transfer’s collection details, with the location’s opening hours affecting when they can collect.

Give the sender and recipient names exactly as they appear on their documents, rather than shortening a name to match an informal contact entry.

Western Union’s tracking reference helps both people follow the payment, but identity checks can still delay release even after funding.

If both sides can use bank accounts, compare a bank-payment quote before paying for cash access that neither person needs.

InternetowyKantor.pl

A local currency exchange for overseas bank payments

InternetowyKantor.pl lets you exchange złoty and send the resulting currency to your own overseas account or another person’s supported bank account.

I like it for euro bank payments when the exchange quote is competitive and you can use its allowance of eligible fee-free payouts.

The service is operated by Currency One, a Polish payment institution authorised by KNF, with overseas bank delivery rather than a cash collection network.

Current funding options can include BLIK and eligible cards alongside bank transfer, but availability and verification requirements still depend on the payment method.

BLIK funding carries a PLN0.99 charge under the current tariff, so it should not be treated as cost-free simply because the overseas payout qualifies.

Eligible ordinary euro SEPA payouts share a monthly allowance of five free payments, increased by exchange turnover, with PLN1 charged after the allowance is exhausted.

Other currencies and faster delivery options can carry larger payout fees, and intermediary-bank deductions can affect transfers sent through the applicable international bank route.

The exchange rate includes the service’s margin, so a free SEPA payout does not remove the cost of changing złoty into euros.

Check the recipient’s account currency and any incoming-payment fee before funding your exchange.

Choose between a bank payment, card deposit and cash collection

For an overseas invoice or a payment to your own account, I suggest a bank transfer rather than paying for a cash service you do not need.

For family support, the recipient's preferred method can change the choice, particularly when sending to an eligible Ukrainian bank card instead of a bank account.

TransferGo and Profee offer different routes for that payment, so check the actual receiving method alongside the final hryvnia amount.

A bank-account payment needs the account details, while a card deposit needs an eligible recipient card, and the two should not be treated as interchangeable instructions.

If cash collection is required, confirm the collection location and identification before paying, because a network's country coverage does not establish every branch's availability.

Use BLIK through the transfer company's payment flow

BLIK can fund an overseas payment through money transfer apps in Poland that support it, including TransferGo and Profee, rather than requiring you to enter card details.

Choose it within the company's checkout, then check the amount and merchant in your banking app before authorising the payment.

The funding method does not determine how the recipient gets the money, which can still be a bank payment or an eligible card deposit.

Include any BLIK funding charge in the comparison, because accepting BLIK does not automatically make the whole overseas payment free.

My suggestion is to complete the payment through the service's own app or website and avoid requests to share a payment code through a message asking for help.

Check the exchange before a euro bank payment

A SEPA transfer settles in euros, so sending a PLN budget to a euro account still requires a currency conversion somewhere in the process.

If your bank offers a low euro-transfer fee, compare its actual PLN-to-EUR conversion with the remittance service before treating the payment as the cheaper option.

InternetowyKantor.pl separates currency exchange from the later bank payout, with an eligible free SEPA allowance and charges on payouts beyond that allowance.

For another currency or a SWIFT route, check the payment charge and possible intermediary deductions rather than assuming the euro-transfer conditions apply.

Use an account accepting the intended receiving currency, because a second conversion at the recipient's bank can reduce the benefit of the first exchange.

For ongoing foreign balances and spending, multi-currency accounts in Poland covers account features separately from these overseas payment choices.

Compare the full cost for repeated or larger transfers

Use the same PLN budget and delivery method when checking the result, including the fee, exchange-rate margin and any separate funding cost.

A first-transfer promotion can change the initial result, so I suggest checking the ordinary price before choosing a service for monthly family support.

For a larger payment, confirm the required identity and source-of-funds documents before funding, rather than assuming previous smaller transfers establish automatic approval.

A transfer's estimated delivery time also depends on receiving the funding payment and completing any review, which should be allowed for before a fixed deadline.
