If you already hold EUR at UBS, an eligible SEPA instant payment generally reaches the recipient's bank account within ten seconds.
For CHF-funded sending, my suggestion is to compare Wise's fast bank funding with Revolut's internal or recipient-card payments and Swiss Bankers' prepared-card service.
Western Union is useful when the recipient needs cash, with eligible transfers available for collection within minutes.
The fastest route depends on how you fund the payment and whether the recipient needs a bank deposit, card credit, wallet balance or cash.

UBS
Send EUR directly to an eligible European bank
UBS supports EUR SEPA instant payments through Digital Banking, generally completing within ten seconds around the clock when the recipient bank is reachable.
I like this for a European bank payment from an existing EUR balance, avoiding a separate remittance account and funding step.
The debit account, payment amount and credited account must all use EUR for this route.
The standard EUR limit is €50,000, with a CHF5 surcharge and any separate account or exchange costs still included in your comparison.
The payment needs sufficient funds and successful validation before the recipient can use the money.
Wise
Speed up CHF bank funding before overseas payout
An instant payment from a supported Swiss or Liechtenstein bank should reach Wise in 15–30 minutes, compared with one to three working days for regular funding.
I'd say consider this route when you want to pay a foreign bank account and your Swiss bank offers instant CHF transfers.
Use the specific account details and reference supplied for your transfer, since Wise accepts CHF funding locally rather than through CHF SWIFT payments.
Conversion can take up to two working days, followed by the receiving currency's payout time.
For EUR, payout is usually instant after Wise receives and converts the money, with a fallback of one to two working days.
Compare delivery time and recipient amount for CHF1,000 and CHF6,000 bank payments below.
Payments between Revolut users usually take 20 seconds or less, which makes an already available balance useful for urgent personal payments.
I'd say start with that internal route when the recipient already has Revolut, then consider card delivery if they need money on an accepted card.
Most eligible recipient-card transfers arrive within seconds, although some take up to 30 minutes.
That card payout is a receiving method, distinct from using your own card to add money before sending.
Qualifying SEPA Instant payments also complete within seconds, while other international bank payments follow the route shown for the actual destination.
A Swiss IBAN does not establish instant funding, and a Swiss card can attract a top-up fee under the applicable card rules.
The table compares bank-transfer delivery time and recipient amount across supported currencies.
Use a loaded prepaid card for foreign-card or wallet delivery
Swiss Bankers Send is available to Swiss residents and draws the payment from your Swiss Bankers prepaid-card balance.
My suggestion is to use an already loaded card when the recipient has an eligible Mastercard or one of the supported mobile wallets.
Following a successful transfer, money is generally available on an accepted foreign Mastercard within 30 minutes.
Supported Mastercard debit, prepaid and credit cards require the correct card number and recipient name, with destination availability shown in the app.
Bank deposits take one to three working days, so choose the receiving method that matches the deadline.
Send's foreign Mastercard fee is CHF2, while bank and wallet payments cost CHF3, before applicable loading and exchange costs.
If you need to load the card first, ordinary bank funding can take up to two working days.
Fast app loading through PostFinance or a credit or debit card takes approximately 15 minutes, costing CHF6 or 1.5% respectively.
Western Union
Make cash available at an accessible agent
Eligible Western Union cash transfers from Switzerland can be available within minutes, giving the recipient a way to collect without a bank account.
I'd say consider it when there is an open, accessible agent and the recipient can provide the identification required for collection.
Swiss online funding includes credit or debit cards, Klarna and Google Pay, with agent cash also available through the applicable sending flow.
You can start a transfer in the app and finish paying cash at an agent.
Give the recipient the tracking details and check agent hours, since money being available does not mean it has already been collected.
Amount, destination, identity checks and service availability can affect the timing shown for your payment.
How to fund your transfer quickly
Start with money already available in the sending account when possible, then choose a funding method that avoids unnecessary deposit delays.
For a new CHF payment, the sending bank's instant service and the provider's handling of that deposit both affect the funding stage.
Your situation
How to fund it
Why it can save time
You already hold EUR for a European payment
Send from your UBS EUR account to an eligible bank
Avoids a new CHF funding and conversion step
You need a foreign bank deposit from CHF
Use supported instant bank funding to Wise
Expected funding takes 15–30 minutes rather than one to three working days
You are paying another Revolut user
Use money already available in your account
Removes the wait for a new deposit
You have a Swiss Bankers prepaid card
Send from its loaded balance, or use eligible fast loading
Prepared funds let you start Send without ordinary bank-loading delays
Wise also accepts card funding up to CHF3,500 and QR-bill payments, but those options should be compared against your bank's instant service and fees.
With Swiss Bankers, include the loading charge when deciding whether the faster funding option is worth the additional cost.
Choose how the recipient receives the money
Bank accounts
A local instant-payment network can make bank delivery very fast, provided the sending service and recipient bank both support that particular payment.
For sending money from Switzerland to France, check whether the EUR recipient bank accepts the available instant-payment route.
For payments requiring conversion, include that stage before the receiving currency's bank payout time.
Recipient cards
Card delivery can be useful when the recipient wants to spend through an existing eligible card rather than open a new account.
Revolut and Swiss Bankers Send offer recipient-card payments, with the accepted card and destination determining availability.
Enter the receiving card details accurately and confirm availability before treating a card payment as your fastest route.
Mobile wallets
A supported wallet provides a usable balance without a conventional bank deposit, although the recipient needs an eligible, ready account.
Swiss Bankers Send supports these wallets, with the receiving account and destination determining which option you can select.

The wallet can charge a receiving fee, so include that cost when comparing what the recipient can actually use.
Cash collection and payments within the same service
Cash collection suits a recipient who needs physical money, with opening hours and travel to an agent affecting when they can collect.
An internal payment suits someone already using the same service, as Revolut's usual 20-second transfer illustrates.
Choose between those methods by what the recipient needs to do with the money after it arrives.
A few ways to avoid losing time
Prepare the required currency or card balance
Prepare the sending balance before the deadline, including any required currency conversion or prepaid-card loading.
Use the exact funding instructions
For Wise bank funding, enter the supplied payment details and reference, then choose your bank's instant option where supported.
Confirm the recipient can access the payment
Check that the bank or card is eligible, the wallet is ready, or the cash agent is open and reachable.
Sending CHF within Switzerland
Swiss domestic instant payments credit an eligible account in under ten seconds, around the clock, with the current rail supporting amounts up to CHF20,000.
Receiving access has expanded across Swiss banks, but you still need to check whether your own bank offers outgoing instant payments.
If you both use TWINT, you can send money to the recipient's phone contact for a local personal payment.
A domestic CHF payment and an overseas EUR, wallet or cash payment use different routes, even when both are described as fast.
Compare the cost of meeting your deadline
Compare the recipient amount for CHF1,000, then select a delivery time and receiving method that meet your deadline.

An instant bank surcharge, prepaid-card loading fee or card top-up charge can change the best price for an urgent payment.
Check the francs you will pay alongside the amount arriving abroad before accepting an extra charge for faster delivery.

Our methodology & why trust us
We assessed documented Swiss-origin sending through regulated banks and transfer services, using official funding, eligibility and delivery information alongside our comparison results.
The assessment distinguishes CHF funding from conversion and recipient access, with separate evidence for bank, card, wallet, cash and internal payments.
Our tables show delivery times and recipient amounts, while the automatic comparison orders prices rather than ranking the fastest services.
