For euros sent to an eligible SEPA bank account, I suggest trying your Dutch bank's instant transfer before opening another account.
ABN AMRO's supported instant payments usually arrive within five seconds, including weekends, with the payment screen confirming whether immediate delivery is available.
For a foreign-currency payment, Wise offers instant funding below €3,000 through the Dutch iDEAL bank-payment service, while Taptap Send can deliver into family wallets within minutes.
Funding and receiving are separate stages, so choose where the recipient needs the money before selecting the quickest way to pay.

Wise
Pay from your Dutch bank without a separate card
Wise's iDEAL option collects euros directly from your Dutch bank, with payments below €3,000 reaching Wise instantly.
In my opinion, it suits a smaller bank payment when you want familiar bank authorisation and the recipient needs their own account credited.
Above €3,000, iDEAL funding takes one to two working days, which can remove its advantage for an urgent larger payment.
Choose another supported funding method if that wait misses the deadline, rather than applying the smaller payment's timing to €5,000.
The recipient does not need a Wise account, while an existing available Wise balance avoids waiting for a fresh deposit.
For GBP paid into a UK bank, arrival is usually the same working day after Wise receives and converts the money.
Conversion can take up to two working days, so include that stage alongside funding when checking the delivery estimate.
Check how the delivery time changes between €1,000 and €5,000 for the currency you need below.
Taptap Send supports Dutch iDEAL funding, which suits sending support without needing a separate debit or credit card.
I suggest using it when the recipient already has a supported wallet and can spend the balance without visiting a bank.
For Ghana, MTN Mobile Money, AirtelTigo Money and Telecel Cash payments typically arrive in under five minutes, with delivery available around the clock.
The wallet's status and capacity still control how much it can receive, so check those before a larger urgent order.
For a recipient with an Orange Money mobile wallet in Morocco, eligible payments typically arrive within a few minutes, with transfers limited to MAD 100–1,000.
That smaller wallet limit makes the receiving method important, even when your Dutch funding account can pay much more.
Check the recipient amount and delivery time for your destination below, then choose the receiving method in the app.
Pay a recipient who already keeps money in Revolut
Payments between Revolut accounts are usually instant, making an existing available balance useful for paying a friend abroad.
I suggest using it when the recipient wants to keep or spend the money inside Revolut, rather than withdrawing it immediately elsewhere.
A later transfer to another bank adds its own timing, so confirm where they need the usable money.
Revolut also supports eligible recipient-card payments, usually arriving instantly or within 30 minutes, with rare receiving-bank delays extending that to 48 hours.
The card, destination and currency need to be accepted in the app, rather than every foreign card qualifying automatically.
Check external-transfer delivery times below when the recipient needs a bank deposit instead of an internal account payment.
TransferGo offers eligible card delivery from the Netherlands, alongside bank payments with different arrival choices.
I suggest comparing that option when the recipient has an accepted card and needs the money in the account behind it.
The quoted delivery option depends on the route and payment method, with faster choices offered only where available.
For bank funding, pay from your own account and include the required TransferGo reference so the service can match the deposit.
A manual bank payment must reach TransferGo before payout starts, so its funding wait belongs in the complete deadline.
Use the selected recipient-card quote rather than treating a general bank-transfer result as evidence of card delivery.
Western Union
Make cash available near the recipient
Eligible Western Union transfers can be ready for cash collection within minutes, with the exact service and funding method determining the available timing.
Dutch funding includes cards, bank payment, iDEAL | Wero and Apple Pay in the app, with cash payment available at agents.
In my opinion, it is worth considering when the recipient needs notes and has an open collection point they can reach.
You can prepare a transfer online or in the app, then pay at an agent when cash is your available funding method.
Match the recipient's name to their identification and share the tracking number needed for collection.
Travelling to the agent remains separate from the transfer becoming available, so check opening hours before paying for urgent collection.
How to fund your transfer quickly
Funding moves money to the sending service, with processing, conversion and payout still determining when the recipient can use it.
Pay through iDEAL
Wise, Taptap Send, Remitly and Western Union offer Dutch bank authorisation, although the funding time and supported order differ between services.
Wise's published smaller-payment timing is useful, but do not apply its instant funding below €3,000 to every iDEAL payment or company.
Use supported instant bank payment
Wise also supports Dutch bank-authorised EUR payments through its supported bank-payment flow, with instant collection depending on the bank and option selected.
If you make a manual transfer, use the service's instructions rather than assuming your bank's instant setting settles every order immediately.
Choose a card or available balance
A supported card can fund an offered fast payout without setting up a separate manual transfer, while the bank may still request authentication.
An existing available Wise or Revolut balance removes the wait for another deposit, without making every external payment instant.

Choose how the recipient will receive the money
A bank account
Bank delivery depends on the destination's payment network and account posting, alongside funding and any conversion before the money is released.
For sending money from the Netherlands to Germany, an eligible euro instant bank payment can avoid a foreign-currency transfer entirely.
For transfers from the Netherlands to the United Kingdom, Wise's usual same-working-day GBP payout starts after receipt and conversion.
Choose the delivery estimate rather than a payment-system timing that excludes the earlier stages of your transfer.
A mobile wallet
A supported mobile wallet can receive money outside bank hours, with a usable mobile balance often removing the need for immediate cash collection.
Taptap Send offers these receiving options when the recipient's account and the selected transfer meet the relevant conditions.

For sending money from the Netherlands to Ghana, wallet delivery can suit everyday spending, while a later cash withdrawal has separate access requirements.
A first MTN cash withdrawal requires cash-out activation, which the recipient can prepare before they need notes from an agent.
Cash collection
A cash transfer needs an open collection point, matching identification and the tracking details, even when the payment is ready within minutes.
Western Union's agent network and Remitly's supported collection partners provide choices, with timing checked for the exact funded order.
My suggestion is to choose a reachable collection point before a small timing advantage at an inconvenient agent.
A recipient card or same-service account
Recipient-card delivery pays into the account linked to an eligible card, while a same-service transfer credits the recipient inside that service.
TransferGo and Revolut offer eligible card routes, with Revolut's internal payments suited to recipients who already use the account.
A later bank withdrawal adds another stage, so confirm the recipient's intended use before choosing an internal payment.
Instant euro payments and local requests
An existing Dutch bank account can handle an eligible overseas euro payment through SEPA Instant, without creating a separate remittance account.
ABN AMRO's payment screen shows whether the recipient can receive immediately, with supported transfers usually completed within five seconds and available around the clock.
Its instant service excludes payments outside SEPA, unsupported receiving banks and transfers above €100,000 to a foreign bank.
Check your own bank's channel and payment limit, since the overseas location alone does not decide whether the transfer is instant.
For local shared bills, Tikkie is a payment-request option tied to supported bank payment, with international remittance serving a different task.
The iDEAL | Wero funding label on a transfer service does not establish a worldwide contact-payment or wallet-receiving network.
Our guide to transferring money between banks in the Netherlands covers payments that stay within the country.
Avoid delays on a time-sensitive payment
Check the funding wait for your amount
Compare the payment methods for the actual amount, particularly when a larger iDEAL payment has different funding timing from a smaller one.
Prepare the recipient's usable account
Check wallet capacity and exact bank details before paying, and confirm whether a cash recipient needs first-time activation or an open agent.
Match the bank-funded order
Use the required amount and reference, keeping the payment record so the service can locate a deposit if it is delayed.
If an order is delayed, check whether it awaits your funding, document review or receiving-bank credit before creating another payment.
For a bank-funded order, confirm the amount and reference match the instructions, then contact the service with the payment record.
For cash or wallet payout, ask the recipient whether identification, wallet capacity or collection access is preventing use of the money.
Compare cost alongside delivery
Compare the recipient amount for €1,000 below, then check which service offers the receiving method and deadline you need.

Our methodology & why trust us
We selected regulated services available for personal transfers from the Netherlands, using official local funding and delivery information alongside our comparison results.
The assessment follows funding, processing and recipient access, with eligible euro bank transfers distinguished from cash, wallets and foreign-currency payments.
Our tables show delivery times and recipient amounts, while the surrounding examples explain the specific account or collection outcome.
Remitly's Economy results are separate from Express quotes, and the automatic comparison orders prices rather than ranking the fastest services.
Dutch iDEAL funding, existing balances and receiving-method restrictions determine the choices, without relying on a company's global instant-transfer percentage.
