Wise suits overseas bank payments using Danish kroner, while Revolut's Standard exchange allowance can fit smaller weekday payments when you already use its app.
I suggest choosing around the recipient's delivery method for family support, with Remitly, Taptap Send and TransferGo offering different bank, wallet, cash or eligible card options.
Western Union through FOREX adds a staffed sending route, while Currencies Direct can suit a larger bank payment where personal support would help.
Compare the final amount received for the same DKK budget, including currency conversion even when the destination uses euros.

My reviews of the services
Wise
Danish bank funding for foreign payments
Wise lets you fund foreign bank payments from a Danish bank account and converts the money at the mid-market exchange rate.
That combination suits paying an overseas account in its own currency without first arranging a separate international wire from your Danish bank.
A 1% fair-use fee applies to exchange above that allowance, and Standard customers also pay a 1% weekend exchange fee.
Your other qualifying exchanges count towards the allowance, so a transfer can cost more after earlier spending or conversions.
I'd say check the remaining allowance before deciding whether a larger payment belongs here.
Moving money to another Revolut user can also simplify repeat payments when both people already use the app.
However, sending to an external bank account can have a separate transfer charge, even when your currency exchange stays within the allowance.
Eligible bank and card funding are available, although commercial or non-EEA cards can add a funding charge.
The free Standard subscription avoids a monthly account cost, while a paid plan needs enough repeated use to justify its price.
Revolut does not replace a cash-pickup service, so I suggest considering Remitly or Western Union when the recipient needs physical money.
Remitly
Flexible delivery for family transfers paid by card
Remitly suits sending money to relatives when the recipient’s preferred bank, cash collection point or other supported delivery method determines the provider.
Its Danish personal service accepts debit or credit cards, with Apple Pay and Google Pay also available.
I'd say use the destination’s receiving options to narrow the choice before comparing the final amount against Taptap Send.
A convenient collection point can save the recipient a separate journey, but availability varies between countries and local partners.
The transfer price includes any sending fee and the exchange rate, which can contain a margin.
New-customer promotions can improve the first payment, although the regular price needs a fresh comparison for subsequent transfers.
Card funding also needs attention because a credit-card issuer may apply charges that do not appear in Remitly’s own price.
I suggest favouring an eligible debit card unless the credit-card terms make the total cost equally clear.
Delivery estimates depend on the destination and receiving method, with identity checks capable of delaying a payment.
Denmark’s personal service uses card funding, so do not send an ordinary bank transfer based on payment instructions intended for another country.
Remitly Europe is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland and serves Danish customers under its local agreement.
TransferGo
Bank payments and eligible card deposits
TransferGo gives Danish senders a choice between supported bank-account delivery and payments to an eligible recipient card.
I think it is worth considering when the recipient prefers their card and the chosen destination supports that receiving method.
You can send from Denmark in DKK or EUR, funding the transfer through an accepted card or a bank payment in your own name.
That makes it an alternative to a conventional bank wire when the destination account and payout method fit its service.
However, card delivery is not available for every recipient, and it should not be assumed from the presence of a card number alone.
The available options appear when you choose the destination and enter the recipient’s details.
Pricing depends on the funding method, payout method and amount, with the exchange rate also affecting the final value.
I'd say compare the price and estimated arrival time together before paying for a quicker option.
Limits can differ between card and bank delivery, so an amount accepted on one route may need another method.
TransferGo’s European service is provided by a Lithuanian electronic-money institution authorised by the Bank of Lithuania.
For a recipient who needs cash collection, I suggest moving to a service with an available local cash-payout partner.
Taptap Send
Family payments to supported mobile wallets
Taptap Send focuses on family remittances, with mobile-wallet delivery available alongside bank deposits or cash collection in supported destination countries.
I suggest considering wallet delivery when the recipient already uses the available wallet and can pay directly from its balance.
Depending on the destination, the recipient can collect cash or receive money through a supported bank account or mobile wallet.
That combination separates it from services where you must first fund the payment with a bank card.
I suggest checking the receiving location and its opening hours before choosing cash collection for an urgent transfer.
The recipient’s name must match their identification, and the transfer reference helps them locate the payment.
Online Danish bank payments can use Trustly, with bank-account delivery supporting transfers up to DKK 100,000 on that funding route.
Do not treat that figure as a universal cash-counter limit, since other methods have their own verification and sending conditions.
The price depends on the destination and payment method, and Western Union also earns money from currency exchange.
An online quote can differ from the price at a FOREX counter.
Ask for the counter’s total price before handing over cash, especially when an online comparison appears cheaper.
Currencies Direct
Account-manager support for larger overseas bank payments
Currencies Direct suits larger transfers where you want an account manager to help arrange the exchange and overseas bank payment.
I think it is worth considering for moving savings or paying for property abroad, particularly when a mistake in the recipient details would be expensive.

Bank transfer
The service does not charge its own transfer fee, but its exchange rate includes the provider’s pricing margin.
That makes the amount arriving abroad the relevant comparison, rather than the absence of a separate sending charge.
A small rate difference has a larger effect on a substantial payment, so I'd say request a quote for the full amount.
Check that quote against the same destination currency and funding amount elsewhere before agreeing to the exchange.
Bank funding requires the settlement instructions supplied for your account, including the correct currency and payment reference.
Do not assume that the funding account or payment route will match another provider’s Danish instructions.
Recipient or intermediary banks may impose additional charges, even when Currencies Direct does not charge a transfer fee.
Its European service is provided by Currencies Direct Spain, an electronic-money institution authorised by the Bank of Spain.
This is a bank-payment option, so a relative who needs local cash collection would be better served by an available cash-payout service.
Match the receiving method to the payment
For an overseas invoice, I suggest using a bank payment in the recipient's required currency and checking their account details before funding.
Family support can need a different service when the recipient uses a wallet or wants to collect cash instead of receiving a bank deposit.
TransferGo's eligible card delivery offers another option, while Western Union through FOREX lets the sender arrange a payment in person.
Choose the exact wallet, bank or collection partner before paying, since a country listing does not establish every receiving method.
Check the Danish funding route before sending
Wise accepts DKK funding from a bank within Denmark, so holding kroner in a foreign account does not make that account an eligible pay-in route.
Remitly's Danish service uses eligible cards and digital wallets, while Western Union offers supported bank funding as well as its separate agent channel.
I suggest confirming the funding method before registering when you need a bank-funded payment, rather than assuming every app accepts the same local options.
MobilePay access does not establish funding support in every international app, so use the payment method available for the actual transfer.
FOREX's staffed Western Union service can suit someone who needs assistance or cash funding, but its counter price can differ from an online quote.
Compare DKK conversion before choosing a euro payment
A euro SEPA payment still needs currency conversion when your money starts in a Danish krone balance, even if the bank transfer fee is low.
Nykredit's eligible online euro SEPA transfers have no outgoing bank fee, but that does not remove the cost of buying euros with DKK.
I suggest comparing the recipient's final amount for the same kroner budget, rather than treating a free euro transfer as free currency exchange.
For dollars or another currency sent through SWIFT, intermediary and receiving bank charges can also affect what arrives at the other end.
Choose around the amount and payment deadline
Revolut's Standard allowance can suit smaller weekday exchanges, while Wise can handle a broader bank-payment requirement without linking the fee to a monthly plan allowance.
For a substantial overseas purchase, Currencies Direct adds personal support and rate arrangements that some transfer apps in Denmark may not provide.
I'd say complete identity and funding checks before relying on a delivery estimate for a first payment or a large transfer with a completion deadline.
