Table of Contents
My top pick for everyday overseas bank transfers from Brazil would be Wise, with Pix funding and a clear breakdown of conversion costs.
I would choose Remessa Online for larger payments that need supporting documents, while Western Union is my pick for cash collection and in-person sending.
Before paying, check the total in reais including IOF, because a low transfer fee alone does not tell you how much the payment will cost.

These are the best money transfer services for international transfers from Brazil right now:
Everyday overseas bank transfers: Wise, provided you meet its Brazilian tax-residency requirements
Large transfers and supporting documents: Remessa Online, including a process for requesting higher limits
Cash collection and branch access: Western Union, with Pix or bank funding online and cash payment at agents
WhatsApp transfers: Remitly lets you start a payment without installing its app
Mobile-wallet deposits: TapTap Send, with Pix funding from Brazil and payout options that vary by destination
Paying another Revolut user: Revolut keeps the transfer within the service
Personal broker support: Regency FX provides an account manager for larger payments
Best companies for sending money abroad from Brazil
My picks cover bank payments, cash collection and smaller remittances, alongside services for larger transfers and people already using a global account.
Wise
Wise makes routine overseas bank transfers simple, with upfront pricing in reais.
It uses the mid-market exchange rate with a separate service fee, which makes the price easier to understand before sending to an overseas bank account.
You can fund a BRL transfer through Pix or TED, but Wise does not accept cards or boleto for this payment.
Its eligibility rules are particularly relevant if you have moved abroad, because sending from BRL requires Brazilian tax residency and verification.
Having a CPF or keeping a Brazilian bank account does not, by itself, satisfy that tax-residency requirement.
For eligible senders, I like the straightforward bank-payment setup, although I would check the destination before registering because BRL transfers have country restrictions.
The prices below show how the recipient amount and fees change when you send different amounts in reais.

Remessa Online
For larger transfers, Remessa Online helps with payment purposes and supporting documents.
Its limit-increase process includes a specific route for money from a recent property sale or inheritance that is not yet reflected in your latest tax return.
That is useful when the payment involves more than entering bank details, particularly if your available transfer limit does not cover the amount you need.
The standard personal limits are R$180,000 per day and R$360,000 over a rolling 365-day period, with higher amounts subject to review.
You fund the transfer through Pix or TED from an individual account in your own name, so a joint account will not suit this workflow.
I would arrange the document review before committing to a payment deadline, then request a quote for the full amount you need delivered.
Remessa Online also offers faster processing on qualifying euro and pound transfers, which I cover in the speed section below.
Western Union
Western Union covers cash collection and in-person transfers through Brazilian agents.
You can start online or in the app and pay through Pix or bank transfer, with cash payment available at participating agents.
That gives you an option when the money is not already in a bank account, or the person receiving it needs to collect cash overseas.
Before sending, check the collection point with your recipient and confirm which identification they will need to bring.
Some Brazilian agents require you to start the transaction online before visiting, so check with the branch rather than arriving with cash alone.
For bank deposits, Western Union is also an option, but the online price and timing should not be assumed to match a branch cash transfer.
The figures below cover the available online transfer results, so use a cash-collection quote separately if that is how your recipient needs payment.

Remitly
You can start a Remitly transfer through WhatsApp without downloading another app.
Its Brazil service accepts Pix, and you can also send through the website or app if you prefer a conventional checkout.
The WhatsApp option supports destinations including Portugal, the United States and Haiti, with the available receiving methods depending on the country.
You can check the quote and start the transfer in chat, then complete the payment through Remitly's website.
I would open the chat through Remitly's official page, so you are using the company's payment flow rather than an unverified contact.
Check the receiving method and arrival estimate before paying, because support for a destination does not mean every payment option is available there.

TapTap Send
TapTap Send is good for smaller mobile-wallet deposits funded by Pix.
Your recipient can receive money through supported mobile wallets or other local payment services, depending on the destination you choose.
For Haiti, BRL-funded transfers in Haitian gourdes are available through Unitransfer, with the cost shown before you pay.
You need Brazilian residence, an active Brazilian mobile number and verified identification, including your CPF, before you can make the first transfer.
The app generates a Pix payment code that you must pay within 15 minutes, so have your banking app ready when you create the transfer.
That deadline is for funding the payment, rather than a promise that your recipient will receive it within 15 minutes.
There is a R$13,000 limit per transfer from Brazil, although destination and recipient restrictions can reduce the amount available.
The table below shows BRL-to-HTG pricing at two amounts, with the receiving option confirmed when you set up the transfer.

Revolut
Revolut is convenient when both people already use the service.
Revolut-to-Revolut payments have no transfer fee, but exchanging your reais can still involve conversion charges and IOF before the payment is sent.
I would use this option for an existing Revolut contact, especially when the required currency is already available in your account.
It also supports external bank transfers, although the total depends on your plan, the currency conversion and the chosen payment method.
Check the full BRL-funded quote instead of applying a fee allowance for exchanges between two foreign currencies.
The figures below cover available external transfer quotes, which should be assessed separately from payments between Revolut accounts.

Regency FX
I'd choose Regency FX for larger transfers that benefit from an account manager.
Brazil-resident customers can fund transfers in BRL, and the service gives you someone to discuss the amount, recipient and payment deadline with before proceeding.
The account manager provides a quote, then you send the money using the funding instructions supplied for your transaction.
I would use that support for a substantial overseas payment, particularly when coordinating the conversion with a property purchase or relocation.
Regency FX charges no transfer fee, but the exchange rate, applicable IOF and any third-party charges still determine the total price.
Ask for the amount your recipient will receive and the full BRL funding requirement before accepting the quote.
The examples below use larger amounts, so you can assess the quoted exchange-rate margin alongside the other transfer costs.

What to consider when sending money from Brazil
Check eligibility before choosing a company
Each service has its own identity, residence and funding requirements, and a foreign passport does not automatically rule you out.
For example, Wise accepts documents including a passport or CRNM for identity verification, but still requires Brazilian tax residency and a Brazilian address.
If you have completed a definitive departure from Brazil, check eligibility with the service before sending money from your remaining Brazilian accounts.
Use the requested account details and payer name, because a payment from someone else's account can create a verification problem or require a refund.
Include IOF in the total cost
IOF is the Brazilian tax applied to the foreign-exchange transaction, separate from the company's own transfer fee and exchange-rate margin.
As checked in September 2026, the consolidated rules set 3.5% for transfers placing funds abroad for a resident or covered family member, with a 1.1% category for investment-purpose transfers.
Other categories and exemptions exist, so the company needs the correct payment purpose to calculate the applicable tax.
For a R$10,000 taxable conversion amount, 3.5% is R$350, before adding any service fee or exchange-rate margin.
Choose the purpose that describes your payment, rather than selecting an investment category simply because its displayed tax rate is lower.
Use VET to check the full price
The Central Bank's Valor Efetivo Total, or VET, expresses the exchange transaction's cost in reais per unit of foreign currency, including fees and applicable taxes.
When you are buying the same foreign currency, a lower VET means you are paying fewer reais for each unit.
Compare the same payment purpose and total BRL budget, then check whether a receiving bank or intermediary could deduct anything further.
For example, a R$5,000 budget should include all charges you pay, rather than comparing one quote with fees included against another charging them separately.
Decide whether you need a transfer or an account
Sending money to someone's bank account is a different task from opening an account where you can hold dollars or spend with a card.
For a payment to a university, property seller or investment platform, check the beneficiary requirements before assuming a personal-account transfer limit applies.
Cheapest money transfer companies in Brazil
I would check Wise and Remitly for routine online payments, alongside a Remessa Online and Regency FX quote when sending a larger amount.
The comparison below shows available transfer prices for the United States, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Haiti at R$1,000 and R$5,000.
The selection covers established destinations for Brazilian emigrants alongside Haiti, which adds an option for people sending smaller remittances from Brazil.

Our comparison data updates weekly, so confirm the final BRL total and applicable IOF with the company before paying.
Remessa Online is not included in these data tables, so request its quote directly if you want to include it in your decision.
For an eligible euro or pound bank payment, I would check Remessa Online's fast-transfer option, especially when you can fund it through Pix.
Delivery within 15 minutes applies only when the transfer meets specific conditions, including the recipient bank's access to the relevant instant-payment system.

For Remessa Online's fast option, fund the exact amount in one payment from an individual account, as joint accounts do not qualify.
If the transaction needs an operations review, the fast-transfer timing no longer applies and the standard processing schedule takes over.
Pix can get reais to the transfer company quickly, but conversion, checks and overseas payout still form part of the journey.
Our guide to the fastest ways to send money abroad from Brazil explains the options for urgent payments in more detail.
Easiest companies to use for international transfers
I would choose the service around how you want to pay and receive support, rather than opening several accounts for a straightforward transfer.

Your existing bank can also be convenient if it already holds the required documents, although I would check its total quote against a transfer service.
For mobile setup, tracking and repeat payments, our guide to money transfer apps in Brazil covers the app experience separately.
Best companies for large transfers from Brazil
I would choose Regency FX for personal help arranging a large currency exchange, or Remessa Online when you need its local document and limit-review process.
Wise's cross-currency limit is up to R$1 million per transfer to personal accounts, but payments from a personal account to a business beneficiary have a US$5,000-equivalent limit.
That difference can affect a payment to a university or company, even when you have enough funds and the transfer is within your annual allowance.
Remessa Online's rolling limit also includes previous transfers, so check your remaining capacity instead of treating the daily maximum as automatically available.
The examples below use R$50,000 and R$10,000 for overseas personal bank transfers, while Remessa Online remains available separately through a direct quote.

Before sending, check the documents and beneficiary details against the purpose of the payment, including any reference required by the receiving institution.
Keep the foreign-exchange confirmation and payment receipt, so you have the details available if the bank or recipient needs to trace the transfer.

Our methodology & why trust us
I selected these services around the tasks a sender needs to complete, including routine bank payments, larger documented transfers and cash collection.
Our research checked Brazil-origin eligibility, BRL funding, recipient methods and provider terms, alongside Central Bank guidance and the current IOF decree.
Comparison data updates weekly, while the final price and delivery estimate depend on the amount, purpose and receiving method you select.
These are research-based editorial choices, with no claim that I personally completed a transfer through every service.
We may earn commission from some companies, but commercial agreements do not influence their positioning or what I write about them.
