"Most transfers are instant or same-day. Customers can earn rewards on every transaction."
A company that sends money into Indonesia does not necessarily accept Indonesian residents sending rupiah abroad, so check the sending direction before opening an account.
Topremit
Topremit offers more receiving choices from an Indonesian service
Topremit supports transfers from Indonesia to more than 90 countries, with receiving methods that vary between the destination and local partner.
Those options include bank deposits and selected wallets or cash services, making it a better fit than a bank-only product when your recipient needs another method.
I suggest choosing the recipient's bank or wallet before judging the quote, rather than assuming every destination offers the same range of receiving choices.
The service operates through its app and website, so you can arrange a payment without treating an overseas bank wire as the only available route.
You fund a personal transfer from a bank account in your own name, which means paying through a friend's account can prevent the payment being matched correctly.
The transfer fee varies by receiving country, and the exchange rate also influences the final amount, so the sending fee alone does not establish the cheapest option.
For regular support or overseas living costs, my suggestion is to compare the receipt with Wise or another local service for the same destination and payment method.
A flat fee can take a larger share of a small payment, while its effect becomes smaller relative to the amount on a larger transfer.
However, that does not remove any conversion cost, and a recipient's wallet withdrawal or bank charge can still change what they can spend afterwards.
Check the receiving estimate before paying, particularly around weekends or local holidays when bank processing can differ from how quickly you fund the transfer.
Topremit is licensed and supervised by Bank Indonesia, which is the relevant payment regulator for the Indonesian remittance service.
I suggest retaining the transfer receipt until the recipient confirms arrival, especially for a tuition or rent payment where the reference needs matching to an account.
Wise
Wise converts rupiah at the mid-market rate for bank payments
Wise lets Indonesian residents send money abroad from rupiah, using the mid-market exchange rate with a separate fee for the transfer.
That is different from holding a Wise balance, which is unavailable to Indonesia-resident customers even though the outbound transfer service remains available.
I'd say consider it for a supported overseas bank payment, such as moving money to Britain or covering a student's Australian living costs.
Funding from IDR supports Indonesian bank payments and eligible OVO or DANA payments, while cards and international SWIFT funding are not accepted for this route.
The funding account or wallet needs to meet the payment instructions, so check the exact amount and reference before sending money to Wise.
Paying in rupiah does not mean the recipient receives rupiah, because Wise converts the payment into the supported receiving currency before delivery.
Your recipient does not need to open Wise for an ordinary bank deposit, which avoids adding another account when they already have a suitable overseas bank.
Wise's Indonesian rupiah route is for personal transfers, so I'd say check the relevant business service before arranging a company's supplier payment.
Its local service is operated by PT Wise Payments Indonesia under Bank Indonesia licensing, rather than relying solely on a foreign licence to serve Indonesian senders.
Transfers work without a Wise balance
You can use Wise to send money abroad from Indonesia, but you cannot use an Indonesia-resident Wise account to keep multi-currency balances or obtain its card.
Fund the individual transfer through an eligible Indonesian payment method, rather than expect to load a reusable balance for later spending.
For cash collection or a receiving wallet Wise does not support, I suggest choosing a service offering that method rather than switching the recipient to bank deposit.
Flip Globe
Flip Globe keeps international payments inside the Flip app
Flip Globe lets you arrange an international transfer within Flip, making it convenient if you already use the app for Indonesian payments.
The international service supports more than 60 receiving countries, with bank-transfer or virtual-account funding available under the instructions for your payment.
I think it is worth considering when its receiving route fits your payment and you prefer keeping the transfer in an app you already use.
However, Flip's domestic transfer features do not make the international service free, because Globe has destination-dependent transfer fees and currency conversion.
Fees start from Rp20,000 on eligible routes, but I'd say use the exact quote rather than apply that starting price to every destination or amount.
The offered rate determines how much foreign currency arrives, so a low administration fee can still produce fewer dollars or pounds than another provider.
Rate alerts can help you monitor a planned payment, although waiting for a better rate is a choice that can also leave you with a worse conversion later.
For tuition or rent with a fixed deadline, I suggest allowing time for funding and delivery instead of keeping the whole payment dependent on an exchange-rate target.
Some supported Asian routes can process over weekends, but that does not make every bank payment available at the same speed on every day.
Flip operates under Bank Indonesia supervision, and your receipt should identify the actual transaction rather than leave you relying on a screenshot sent by another person.
For a one-off overseas payment, compare Globe with another local app and Wise before choosing it solely because you recognise Flip's domestic service.
Transfez
Transfez can fund eligible overseas invoices with a credit card
Transfez offers ordinary international transfers from Indonesia, alongside Pay by Card for eligible invoices when the recipient does not accept a card directly.
For that separate service, you upload a valid invoice and pay by credit card, while Transfez delivers the funds through the available receiving route.
I'd say consider it when the payment needs a bank deposit but you have a specific reason to use a card for an eligible invoice.
The card-funded invoice feature does not mean every family remittance can be funded by credit card, so check the invoice and payment conditions before relying on it.
Its service charge and your issuer's treatment of the transaction need including in the cost, rather than assume card rewards make the payment cheaper.
If interest or an issuer fee applies, those charges can outweigh the convenience of funding a bank payment through the card.
For an ordinary personal transfer, compare the standard remittance quote separately from Pay by Card because they are different payment arrangements.
Transfez supports more than 70 receiving countries, with the recipient details and available service depending on your chosen destination.
For tuition or another invoiced payment, my suggestion is to confirm the payment reference so the receiving organisation can match the money to the bill.
The service is provided by PT Indo Koala Remittance, a Bank Indonesia-licensed transfer company, rather than being an informal arrangement between private individuals.
For a bank-funded payment without an invoice requirement, Topremit or Wise can be a simpler option to assess alongside Transfez's ordinary transfer service.
Western Union
Western Union suits recipients who need to collect cash
Western Union's Indonesian service uses authorised agents, making it relevant when you need to arrange a transfer in person or your recipient needs cash collection.
That is a different role from choosing an online bank-deposit service simply because its exchange rate looks lower for the same country.
I suggest confirming the collection location and the recipient's identification before paying, particularly when they live far from the nearest available agent.
The recipient's name must match their identification, and opening hours can affect collection even after the payment is ready.
From Indonesia, use the authorised sending location and its payment instructions rather than assume an overseas Western Union website provides Indonesian online checkout.
The fee and exchange rate depend on the actual transfer, so request the final receiving amount and keep the receipt with its tracking number.
Your recipient needs that reference to track or collect the payment where required, and it should not be shared with someone unrelated to the transfer.
For a routine payment to an established overseas bank, I'd say compare a local app first because a cash network adds less value to that receiving method.
But if your recipient cannot access a bank deposit, a nearby collection point can justify using Western Union instead of the lowest bank-only quote.
BCA
BCA offers full-amount options for overseas bank payments
BCA's outward remittance service gives existing customers a bank route for overseas payments, with optional Full Amount arrangements on supported transfers.
I'd say consider that option when an institution needs an exact amount, rather than risking a tuition payment arriving short after correspondent-bank deductions.
BCA supports outward remittance through myBCA and other available banking channels, with myBCA covering 18 foreign currencies.
The bank also offers eligible local-currency transaction routes, which are separate arrangements from assuming rupiah can be sent freely to any foreign account.

Telex fee
Electronic channel versus branch tariff
Provision
Funding currency, account type and any applicable waiver
Full Amount
Currency and receiving route, plus the extra charge
Value Today
Currency cut-off and applicable same-day bank service
Full Amount has an additional charge that varies by route, so I suggest comparing the complete cost against a service already delivering the required amount locally.
Value Today concerns credit to the beneficiary bank under the service conditions, which does not automatically guarantee the recipient can use the money immediately.
For a deadline, check the currency's cut-off time rather than assume every payment entered before the end of the Indonesian working day qualifies.
A bank is not automatically the most expensive option, so my suggestion is to compare BCA's final quote before dismissing it in favour of an app.
For a smaller regular transfer, a local remittance app can be easier to assess, while BCA adds a bank channel for receiving requirements and documentation.
Instarem for business
For overseas suppliers and company payments
Instarem is business-only for sending from Indonesia, so you cannot use it for personal family support or your own tuition payment.
You qualify through a company registered and physically present in Indonesia, subject to verification of its registration and director or shareholder details.
I'd say consider it when your company pays overseas suppliers regularly and needs saved recipients alongside business transaction records.
Indonesian business orders are funded by bank transfer, with mobile web access for viewing transactions and creating one payment at a time.
The wider business platform also supports bulk payments, allowing you to prepare multiple supplier payments in a single file.
There are no setup or subscription fees, but sending charges and the exchange-rate margin still affect your payment cost.
Request the quote through your business account, checking the full supplier amount and delivery estimate before funding the order.
Find available transfer quotes from Indonesia
Compare the receiving amount for your destination, then request a separate quote from local services that are not shown for that payment.
Instarem is business-only
If Instarem appears in the comparison, you need an eligible business in Indonesia; it is unavailable for personal transfers from Indonesia.

How to send money abroad from Indonesia
Check the recipient's payment instructions
Confirm the receiving currency and bank, wallet or cash method, including any reference an institution needs to match a tuition or invoice payment.
Choose an eligible Indonesian funding method
Use the provider's bank, virtual-account, wallet, card or agent instructions, rather than assume the payment methods available overseas also work from Indonesia.
Compare the full receiving amount
Include the transfer fee and exchange rate, then check whether a funding charge or recipient-bank deduction sits outside the displayed quote.
Prepare identity and payment documents
Keep your identification and evidence of the payment purpose available, particularly for a substantial currency purchase or a transfer requiring source-of-funds checks.
Pay and retain the transfer receipt
Check the recipient details before sending, then keep the tracking reference until the receiving account or institution confirms the payment has arrived.
What to consider when sending from Indonesia
Tuition and overseas living costs
Ask the institution whether it accepts a transfer through your chosen service, because a tuition invoice can have specific receiving details or a required reference.
An ordinary payment to a student's bank account is different from paying a university's invoice, even when both support the same receiving currency.
I suggest following the institution's approved instructions rather than sending to a different account simply because another route appears cheaper.
For recurring living costs, the student can receive a bank deposit without an account at the sending company when the chosen service supports that arrangement.
Currency purchases and supporting documents
From 1 July 2026, Indonesia's applicable spot foreign-currency purchase rules require an underlying transaction above US$10,000 equivalent per FX-market participant per month.
That is a documentation trigger for the covered currency purchase, rather than a statement that every overseas transfer has a US$10,000 maximum.
Ask your bank or provider which documents apply to your actual payment, such as the tuition invoice or other evidence of its purpose.
A service's own funding or receiving limit is a separate condition, so a large payment needs checking against both the product rules and relevant documentation requirements.
Using a wallet to fund Wise does not mean that the wallet itself offers the same international remittance route or receiving methods.
Likewise, a domestic bank transfer or QR payment feature does not establish that the app can send money to the foreign account you need.
Choose the international transfer product explicitly, rather than treat a familiar Indonesian payment brand as proof that every overseas route is supported.
Are these services regulated in Indonesia?
Bank Indonesia licenses Indonesian remittance and payment services, while regulated banks such as BCA provide international transfers through their banking arrangements.
Wise's Indonesian operator, Topremit, Flip and Transfez have local payment licensing, rather than relying on the existence of a foreign brand alone.
I suggest using official apps and authorised agents, and checking the company's legal entity when confirming that the service matches a licensed business.
Being regulated does not guarantee that a payment will arrive before your deadline, because identity checks and the receiving bank can still affect delivery.
Use the form below for your destination and amount, then check the full quote for the receiving method your payment needs.

Our methodology & why trust us
I selected services that support outbound personal payments from Indonesia, including local regulated providers that add receiving and funding options beyond the available online quotes.
Instarem is included separately for business payments, with its eligibility and pricing kept distinct from the personal shortlist.
Our live checks covered Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, Australia, Britain and Japan, with Wise returned on each of those quoted rupiah routes.
The comparison components show available prices, while the reviews also cover independently verified local options and explain their payment conditions.
