Topremit
Topremit lets you choose more than a foreign-bank deposit
Available on
iOS and Android
App store rating
4.6/5 (837 ratings)
Google play rating
4.6/5 (3.4k+ reviews)
Topremit lets you choose a supported bank, wallet or cash delivery through the app, with other receiving services available on selected routes.
I suggest it when the recipient's access determines the payment, especially if a bank deposit is inconvenient for them.
You register with email and phone details, verify using the accepted e-KTP or passport, then create or reuse a recipient.
The app can arrange single or multiple-recipient orders, with the destination, service and amount selected before you fund.
You pay the quoted rupiah total from your own eligible personal bank account, then follow the transaction status on your phone.
Multiple recipients still have their own payment costs and eligibility, so the feature saves administration rather than removing every sending charge.
Topremit's transaction fee varies by destination and service, with its quoted exchange rate determining the foreign amount delivered.
There is no required monthly banking plan, while an optional SWIFT or other receiving route can have separate payment conditions.
My suggestion is to use the available arrival estimate and support hours for an urgent payment, with support open 09:00 to 17:00 WIB daily.
Topremit is worth it

Flip Globe sits inside the ordinary Flip app, so you can create an overseas order without moving your payment records to another service.
In my opinion, it is worth considering when you already use Flip and want rate alerts before an overseas bank payment that can wait.
You choose the destination and sending or receiving amount, enter the recipient, then review the quote before selecting bank or virtual-account funding.
Pay the exact instructed total, confirm the funding and keep the downloadable receipt beside the transfer status.
Supported Singapore PayNow delivery is one receiving route, rather than a promise that every destination uses a phone number or wallet.
Bank or virtual-account funding is separate from Flip's domestic transfer functions, which do not establish free international sending.
Globe administration fees start at Rp20,000 and change with the country, recipient bank or amount, while the exchange spread affects how much arrives.
There is no compulsory banking subscription, but I suggest comparing the full quote rather than treating the starting fee as a flat price.
Selected weekend processing can help a payment, while the actual destination and order estimate determine when it arrives.
Flip is worth it

Wise lets you create an overseas bank recipient and fund a personal rupiah order from an Indonesian bank, with OVO or DANA offered as supported alternatives.
I think it is a good fit when you need a bank payment without opening another Indonesian bank account or paying for a monthly account plan.
The app shows the sending amount and funding instructions, then keeps your recipients and transfer status beside the order.
Debit and credit cards cannot fund IDR transfers, so the bank or supported e-wallet route needs to match your actual payment.
Indonesian-resident accounts do not provide ordinary Wise multi-currency holding or its spending card, even though personal outward transfers remain available.
That means my suggestion is to use it for the bank payment, rather than choose it to receive and retain foreign income.
The monthly IDR sending limit is Rp15 billion, with funding and verification requirements separate from that maximum.
Conversion uses the mid-market exchange rate with a variable transfer fee, while your funding provider can add its own cost.
Funding and conversion can take working days before the destination payment completes, so use the actual arrival estimate for an urgent bill.
The Rp10 million and Rp50 million examples show Wise’s fee and mid-market conversion beside the foreign amount received on these selected routes.
Fund an overseas bank payment from an Indonesian bank
You need debit or credit-card IDR funding
Use supported OVO or DANA funding when offered
You want Indonesian-resident foreign holding or a Wise card
Track repeat bank recipients without a monthly plan
Your recipient needs cash collection
Transfez
Transfez keeps tuition and invoice bank payments on your phone
Available on

Transfez lets you add an overseas bank beneficiary, fund from your local rupiah account and follow the transfer through its app.
In my opinion, it suits a tuition or invoice bank payment when saving the recipient and keeping a transaction record makes later payments easier.
The app includes rate reminders and transaction monitoring, with the destination, amount and bank information entered before you accept the quote.
Local partner delivery is available on the offered service, without requiring the recipient to accept a credit card themselves.
Ordinary remittances use the current local-bank funding instructions, while Pay by Card is a separate product for a valid invoice.
That invoice service can accept a credit card even when the recipient does not, but it does not make every family remittance card-funded.
The ordinary transaction fee varies by route, with a quoted exchange rate and relevant cutoff affecting the total payment and arrival.
My suggestion is to assess Pay by Card's service charge and issuer costs against its benefit, rather than let card points justify a more expensive invoice payment.
There is no mandatory monthly banking plan, and the recipient amount needs to fit the actual tuition or invoice requirement.
Transfez is worth it

If you already have BCA, myBCA lets you enter overseas bank instructions and arrange a remittance beside your ordinary banking account.
I suggest using it when foreign funds already sit in Poket Valas, because sending from that pocket waives the bank's remittance sending commission.
The app includes underlying-document upload and verification status, with optional Full Amount or Value Today processing selected for the order.
Poket Valas supports foreign receipts and retained currencies, plus matching-currency Mastercard spending when the account and card are linked correctly.
That makes it a multi-currency account in Indonesia option for a later foreign bill, rather than a reason to convert every receipt into rupiah.
Poket Valas has no separate administration fee, while your underlying BCA account and card charges still apply.
The ordinary electronic telex charge is Rp35,000, with a 0.125% sending commission subject to minimum US$5 and maximum US$150 unless the pocket waiver applies.
Value Today adds Rp30,000, while Full Amount and the relevant currency's receiving or intermediary costs need the accepted quote.
The app's remittance maximum is US$25,000 equivalent per transfer and daily per BCA ID, with an ordinary 06:00 to 16:00 WIB sending window.
My suggestion is to choose the covered receiving option for an exact bill, rather than assume every foreign wire delivers the entire sending amount.

Jenius lets you hold supported foreign currencies, receive through the appropriate bank instructions and send an overseas bank payment from the mobile account.
I think it is worth considering when foreign income also pays for travel or another foreign bill, keeping those tasks beside everyday banking.
You activate the eligible currency, enter the recipient and follow supported payment progress through the outgoing history in In & Out.
For card spending, manually link the selected foreign currency to the m-Card, rather than assume it switches across every balance automatically.
The account's Feesible charge is Rp10,000 monthly, with conversion priced through the bank's buying and selling rates.
A SWIFT order has a 0.125% sending commission, minimum US$10 and maximum US$150 equivalent, plus Rp50,000 equivalent telex.
An offered non-SWIFT order has a different 0.1% charge with minimum US$1 equivalent, plus the selected currency's service fee.
Those are alternative payment routes, so I suggest using the order's own tariff rather than adding both fee grids together.
Full Amount options and foreign ATM use can add costs, while bank or recipient deductions remain part of the payment decision.
Jenius is worth it

Livin’ by Mandiri
Livin’ keeps Mandiri foreign balances and overseas recipients together

If you already have Mandiri, Livin' lets you arrange supported overseas bank payments and keep foreign recipients beside your account records.
In my opinion, it suits a supported local receiving route when the account already handles your banking and foreign balances.
The app shows transfer details through Inbox or Messages, with status notifications and recipient email supporting the payment record.
Its multi-currency account can retain supported foreign balances and fund matching Visa spending after foreign-currency debiting is enabled.
The multi-currency main account has its own maintenance and minimum-balance conditions, while foreign subaccounts are not charged separately.
A transfer funded from rupiah has a cumulative US$10,000 equivalent monthly app limit, which is separate from the national documentation rule.
The app cannot upload the underlying documents for a larger rupiah-funded order, so that payment needs the appropriate branch route.
Sending fees depend on the source currency and service, with commission, conversion and forwarding costs separate from a promotional transaction charge.
I suggest using the accepted total rather than treating a temporary low sending fee as the complete payment cost.
Its low current app-store scores make it an account-specific alternative here, rather than my reason to open a new bank account for one remittance.
Livin’ by Mandiri is worth it
Find an alternative
Send beside the Mandiri account you already have
Rupiah-funded app payments exceed the monthly cap
Use a supported local overseas-bank route
You need to upload documents for a larger order in-app
Keep foreign balances and card functions together
You want a transfer-only service without another bank account
Instarem for business (mobile web)
A business-only alternative for overseas supplier payments
Instarem serves businesses in Indonesia, and its mobile business service runs in your browser with one transaction created at a time.
You need a company registered and physically present in Indonesia, with business verification covering your registration and director or shareholder details.
In my opinion, it is worth considering for repeat overseas supplier payments if you are comfortable using mobile web alongside your company's payment records.
You can reuse recent recipients and view transactions on your phone, funding Indonesian business orders by bank transfer.
There are no setup or subscription fees, but sending charges and the exchange-rate margin still affect the total cost.
Use the business portal's quote for your destination and amount, including the receiving amount and delivery estimate before paying.
For payments from Indonesia, Instarem is business-only, so you need an eligible company to use its mobile service.
Cheapest apps for sending from Indonesia
My suggestion is to compare the recipient amount after sending fees and conversion, including any bank commission or Full Amount option needed for an invoice.
Compare the listed rupiah amounts, while Topremit, Flip, Transfez and the bank apps need their own matching quotes.
If Instarem appears in the comparison, you need an eligible business in Indonesia; it is unavailable for personal transfers from Indonesia.

Rupiah funding is separate from the foreign receiving method
A local bank or virtual-account payment funds the order, while the remittance service converts and delivers through the selected overseas route.
Wise's supported OVO or DANA funding does not mean the recipient receives into those Indonesian wallets.
Topremit's foreign-wallet delivery likewise does not establish sender wallet funding, so use the bank instructions for your actual order.
For domestic rupiah payments, Flip, BI-FAST or the relevant bank app serves a different task from an international quote.
Keep the invoice amount separate from the sending budget
A tuition invoice needs the required foreign amount, while a family payment may simply need to stay within your rupiah budget.
Payment
How to set the amount
Tuition or an overseas invoice
Enter the full foreign amount owed and include any charges needed to deliver it
Family support from a fixed rupiah budget
Enter your sending budget and compare the foreign amount delivered
I suggest entering the required receiving amount for the invoice and assessing Full Amount or the relevant local delivery route before funding.
Intermediary banks can deduct charges from a SWIFT payment, leaving a tuition invoice short even when you entered the correct foreign amount.
Transfez Pay by Card is a separate invoice option, with the service and issuer cost assessed against the actual payment benefit.
Foreign balances can reduce repeated conversion
Poket Valas, Jenius and Mandiri foreign accounts let you retain supported currency for later spending or overseas bank payments.
My suggestion is to use an existing foreign balance for the next matching bill, rather than sell it into rupiah and buy it again.
myBCA's Poket Valas funding also changes the sending commission, while Jenius card spending needs manual selection of the linked currency.
Wise personal outward transfers remain available, but Indonesian-resident account holding and its spending card are different product features.
The documentation threshold is not a transfer ceiling
Spot foreign-currency purchases against rupiah above US$10,000 equivalent per participant per month require underlying transaction documents under the current Bank Indonesia rule.
That requirement concerns the currency purchase, rather than setting a universal maximum on every overseas transfer.
myBCA can upload the required documents, while Livin' has its own separate monthly limit for rupiah-funded app orders.
My suggestion is to prepare the invoice or purpose evidence before a larger payment, then use the service's actual funding and document route.
How to send money abroad through an app
Choose the recipient route
Choose the recipient's bank, supported wallet or cash service, entering the full foreign amount when you need to pay an invoice.
Complete identification and documents
Verify the account with the accepted identity documents and prepare the payment purpose or underlying evidence for the required order.
Review the full rupiah cost
Check fees and conversion against the amount received, including bank commission, any Full Amount charge and separate account costs.
Fund the exact order
Use the current bank, virtual account or supported wallet instructions, then save the receipt and follow the payment status.
Use the comparison form for your destination and amount, then choose the funding and receiving method that satisfy your payment.
Compare transfers from Indonesia
Enter your destination and amount to compare available IDR transfer fees, exchange rates and recipient amounts.
Our methodology & why trust us
I selected apps supporting personal outward payments from Indonesia, with local rupiah funding or useful retained foreign-bank balances.
Instarem is included as a business-only mobile web alternative for eligible Indonesian companies.
Our research checked Indonesian app listings, regulated services, mobile sending functions, current funding and live rupiah-origin results.
I assessed recipient access and account features alongside conversion, bank charges and the document requirements affecting larger payments.
We may earn commission from some companies, but commercial agreements do not determine my selection or opinions.
Our review process explains how we assess transfer companies and their services.
