Companies like Currencies Direct let you hold EUR and MXN balances in one account.
You can convert between them any time, and it's cheap.
For example, converting 7,000 EUR to MXN with Currencies Direct gets you 144,566.8 MXN (€0 in fees and 0.58% markup).
This is especially useful for travel since you are spending in MXN (no extra fees from Currencies Direct, only local ATMs).
