I suggest considering Wise for foreign bank payments when you also want to receive international income or keep money for travel.
Remessa Online is stronger when your payment needs documents and Portuguese support, while Western Union covers overseas cash collection.
For family transfers, I like Remitly and Taptap Send because receiving methods extend beyond a foreign bank account.
Pix can fund an international order, but the app still needs to convert reais and deliver the money through its overseas network.

Wise
Wise combines overseas bank payments with foreign balances

Wise lets you create a foreign bank transfer on your phone, save the recipient and pay the reais through Pix or TED.
You can upload verification documents and follow the payment's progress without arranging the order through a bank branch.
BRL transfers require Brazilian tax residency, so a CPF and Brazilian bank account alone do not establish eligibility.
Your recipient receives a bank payment without needing Wise, but you cannot choose cash collection.
You can hold supported currencies, receive money through available foreign account details and use the debit card for spending abroad.
For foreign card purchases, convert your BRL balance into a supported spending currency first.
I like its multi-currency account when foreign income and travel overlap, because you can keep the currency until you need it.
If you are collecting company revenue, compare business currency accounts in Brazil separately, because ownership and permitted receipts differ from personal accounts.
Wise converts at the mid-market rate with a separate service fee, and personal accounts have no monthly subscription.
IOF adds to the conversion cost, while card services, certain receiving routes and cash withdrawals can carry separate charges.
The R$1,000 and R$5,000 examples show the conversion fee beside the rate and final amount delivered abroad.

You still need the recipient's bank details and any documents required for the payment purpose, so preparation can take longer than a simple family transfer.
The app lets you send to relatives or your own foreign account, with biometric access and transfer tracking after you create the payment.
Pay through Pix or an available TED option from an individual bank account in your name, using the instructions attached to that operation.
Joint-account payments are excluded, so use an eligible individual account to fund tuition or another larger bill.
The cost combines the exchange rate with an administrative charge, applicable IOF and any external bank fee, so a low headline percentage needs context.
Standard registration allows R$180,000 a day and R$360,000 over a rolling 365 days, with further documents needed to increase your limit.
I'd say compare the total BRL payment against Wise before confirming, especially when the bank payment is large enough for small exchange differences to add up.
Remessa operates as a foreign-exchange correspondent of Banco Topázio, which keeps the service distinct from opening a foreign spending account.

I suggest choosing Western Union when your recipient needs cash, particularly if you also want the option of paying at an agent in Brazil.
You can register on your phone, create the transfer and choose bank deposit or an available cash-collection location.
Pix and bank funding cover digital orders, while participating agents let you pay cash for an arranged transfer.
Some agents require the order to be started online first, so confirm the branch's process before taking cash there.
The app keeps your transfer history and tracking number together, which helps when you need to share collection details.
The recipient's name must match their identification, and cash collection depends on the chosen location's opening hours.
Western Union charges a route-dependent transfer fee and earns money through its exchange rate, without a personal monthly app subscription.
In my opinion, you should keep cash collection and bank deposit as separate quotes because their fees and delivery times can differ.
These BRL examples show how Western Union’s fee and exchange rate affect the amount received across the selected destinations.
You regularly exceed the Standard exchange allowance
Nomad
Nomad suits funding your own US account

Its outgoing dollar Wire service is limited to US accounts in your name, which narrows its role compared with an app for paying relatives abroad.
You must be an adult Brazilian citizen by birth or naturalisation, with a Brazilian address and an accepted identity document to open the account.
There is no opening or monthly maintenance fee, but converting BRL into dollars or euros adds a conversion charge starting at 1% and applicable charges.
The exact conversion fee depends on your Nomad Pass level, so compare the app's total before deciding that a free account means cheap funding.
An outgoing dollar Wire costs US$10, making frequent small transfers to your own US account less appealing than combining them into fewer payments.
The separate euro wallet lets the same debit card use euros in the euro zone, while purchases elsewhere use the dollar balance.
It has no personal IBAN or external bank receiving details, so it will not replace a euro account for receiving overseas payments.
I'd say consider Nomad when its dollar account fits the job, then check a remittance app separately for payments to another person's bank or wallet.

C6 Conta Global adds dollar and euro wires to your C6 app

The foreign accounts are separate from your Brazilian account, so money paid into your local Pix account needs conversion before it becomes a foreign balance.
You can open separate dollar and euro accounts inside the C6 app, then use Conta Global to enter an overseas bank transfer.
You need the recipient's bank information, including the relevant SWIFT or account details, and can retrieve the completed payment's receipt from the app.
Each personal account has a US$10 opening charge unless you qualify for a waiver or refund, with no monthly maintenance charge afterwards.
A qualifying card, R$20,000 in CDB investments or sufficient currency conversion within the stated opening period can remove that initial cost.
Converting your Brazilian balance adds an exchange spread and applicable IOF, while external wires add another charge shown before you confirm the payment.
Foreign-bank deductions depend on the payment option you choose, so check the amount your recipient should receive as well as the amount debited.
The accounts use C6's Cayman structure, which means their foreign balances should not be treated as ordinary Brazilian current-account deposits.
I suggest considering this for a bank payment from an existing C6 relationship, then comparing a Pix-funded remittance quote before opening another foreign account.
C6 Bank is worth it

You already use C6 and need a USD or EUR bank payment

Cheapest apps for sending abroad from Brazil
The cheapest app changes with the receiving currency and method, so I suggest checking the final amount delivered for your BRL budget.
These examples cover transfer quotes alongside the reviewed apps, while Remessa Online and Remitly also deserve a direct quote for your destination.
Paying through Pix does not make the transfer domestic
Pix moves reais to the sending service in Brazil, while fast transfers abroad still depend on currency conversion and the overseas payout.
I'd say follow the payment instructions attached to the specific order, including the funding account holder and any required reference.
Sending to your own foreign account also differs from supporting family, because the purpose changes the documents and applicable exchange tax.
IOF and the full cost in reais
IOF is charged on applicable foreign-exchange transactions, and the purpose of the payment determines the relevant tax treatment.
Many personal outward conversions attract 3.5%, while qualifying investment availability has a 1.1% rate under the current rules.
A foreign spending balance, an investment payment and a family remittance should therefore be quoted under their correct purposes.
Look at the full reais payment beside the amount delivered, including the service charge, exchange-rate margin and applicable bank charges.
For a foreign-account wire, also check whether the sending fee is taken from the balance or deducted from the recipient amount.
Sending abroad from your phone
Choose the receiving method
Start with a bank deposit, cash collection or supported wallet according to how the recipient will use the money.
Register and verify your details
Prepare your CPF and accepted identification, then complete the app's identity and tax-residency checks before creating an urgent payment.
Enter the recipient and payment purpose
Use the recipient's exact account or wallet details, and select the purpose that matches the payment you are making.
Fund the order and track it
Follow the app's Pix or bank-payment instructions, then keep the transfer reference until the recipient has received the money.
What about a local banking app or broker?
For a payment inside Brazil, Pix in your existing banking app usually avoids opening a separate international transfer service.
For money going abroad, I suggest comparing that bank's foreign-payment quote with a dedicated transfer app before using its international option.
Regency FX also accepts Brazil-resident customers funding in BRL, but I suggest considering its assisted service for a large payment rather than looking for it in this app ranking.
Enter your receiving country and amount in the form below to check the available quotes before paying.
