The Best International Money Transfer Apps in Turkey in 2026

For an overseas bank payment funded in lira, I suggest considering Wise, while UPTION offers more receiving choices through its wallet-based app.

If you already use İşCep or Garanti BBVA, their international payment tools can handle bank transfers and Western Union without opening another banking account.

Enpara is worth using for a dollar or euro bank payment when its fixed sending fee and your existing currency balance fit the amount.

Wise lets you create a bank payment in the app, save the overseas recipient and follow the order after funding it from your Turkish bank account.

I think it is worth considering for a tuition bill or bank payment when you want to keep the transfer separate from your ordinary banking package.

You choose the receiving currency and amount, then pay the supplied local bank instructions with the transfer reference.

The first TRY transfer requests an 11-digit Turkish identity number, so the local registration requirements affect who can complete that flow.

Funding normally takes around one working day, followed by conversion and the receiving country’s bank-payment process.

The exchange uses the mid-market rate with a separate variable fee, without a compulsory monthly app subscription.

I'd say compare the final receiving amount against your bank’s exchange and wire charges, rather than judge it by the sending fee alone.

Türkiye-resident Wise accounts cannot open new receiving details or use ordinary foreign balances and cards as an everyday multi-currency account.

Its international bank-funded transfer service remains available, which is different from adding lira to a Wise balance or scheduling payments from one.

For cash collection or a recipient without a bank account, I suggest considering UPTION or a supported Western Union order instead.

The TRY 10,000 and TRY 50,000 examples show Wise’s conversion fee, rate and receiving amount across the selected destinations.

UPTION lets you fund an account and choose an overseas bank, named cash recipient, card or supported mobile wallet through the app.

I think it is worth considering when the recipient’s delivery method is more important than having another full bank account.

You can load money by EFT into your IBAN or at a UPT branch, then keep the balance for a later payment.

The app also tracks transfers and supports bill payments, with a prepaid card that can link to TRY, USD or EUR balances.

Those holding and spending functions give it a different role from Wise’s transfer-only service, without making the wallet a bank deposit account.

Turkish citizens can complete digital identification, while foreign nationals may need additional documents and a signed customer form.

The European receiving account is available to eligible Turkish citizens, with a EUR 3 receiving charge rather than free receipt for every payment.

Sending euros to a supported European account costs EUR 1, while a sterling payment to a UK account costs GBP 1.

Other destinations are priced through the calculator, with the conversion cost included in the exchange offered for your payment.

The exchange rate and loading charges still affect the total, so I'd say use its free EFT or branch funding instead of assuming every ATM load is free.

Membership and ordinary account use have no subscription, but an inactive funded account incurs TRY 19.90 monthly after six months without a financial transaction.

A virtual card is free, while physical-card delivery costs TRY 50 and there is no monthly or annual card fee.

If you already have an İş Bankası account, İşCep lets you send through SWIFT or Western Union from the same app.

I suggest considering Western Union when the recipient needs cash, then using SWIFT when the payment belongs in their foreign bank account.

You select the transfer method and enter the required beneficiary details, with the account balance funding the order.

Western Union provides the transfer reference for collection, while the bank-transfer route needs the recipient’s bank and account information.

The app also manages foreign-currency accounts and exchange, so a held currency can fund a matching overseas payment without a fresh conversion from lira.

Those bank balances can serve foreign income and later bills, with the full multi-currency account options in Turkey depending on the currencies and spending functions you need.

Western Union’s digital sending price differs from a branch order, while a SWIFT payment has the bank’s own transfer charges.

The bank’s exchange rate and possible correspondent deductions remain separate, including when a payment method shows a small sending fee.

There is no separate app subscription, although the charges attached to your bank account and chosen services still apply.

I'd say compare the receiving amount with a transfer specialist when sending often, rather than open a new bank account solely for Western Union access.

Garanti BBVA Mobil lets you compare supported international payment methods by their fee and estimated arrival before choosing how to send.

The available methods include SWIFT, Western Union and Visa-based international sending, depending on the destination and payment.

I suggest using this feature when your bank offers more than one way to reach the recipient, rather than automatically choosing SWIFT.

You manage the beneficiary and fund from your account, with foreign-currency balances and exchange available beside everyday banking.

Holding a matching currency can avoid another lira conversion, while card and bank-account services remain separate product choices.

The selected method has its own sending charge, with the bank’s retail exchange rate also affecting how much arrives.

Tax treatment and correspondent charges differ by method, so I'd say check the final mobile quote rather than apply one tariff to every destination.

There is no separate app subscription, although account or card-package fees can remain part of your banking costs.

The estimated arrival helps choose the method, but a same-day order does not guarantee the recipient has the money immediately.

I suggest keeping Garanti for its method-selection tool when you already bank there, then comparing a specialist for a frequent currency conversion.

Enpara

Enpara gives dollar and euro wires a fixed sending charge

Enpara’s Cep Şube app lets you send dollars or euros to another bank, with a fixed TRY 466.50 sending fee including BSMV.

I think it is worth considering when you already hold the currency and need a bank wire, rather than a small family transfer collected in cash.

You add the recipient’s account and bank details in the transfer menu, then review and confirm the payment from your account.

Starting with lira adds the bank’s exchange cost, while an existing foreign balance avoids that new conversion.

Intermediary and receiving-bank charges can still reduce the principal, so the fixed sending fee is not the complete cost of the wire.

Orders entered before 16:00 are forwarded to the intermediary on the same working day, with later orders forwarded the next working day.

That cutoff describes dispatch, rather than guarantee when the recipient’s bank credits the money.

Ordinary domestic transfers can be free, but the international SWIFT payment has its separate charge without a compulsory app subscription.

I'd say compare a specialist for a small conversion, where the fixed wire charge takes a larger share of the amount.

Enpara is worth it

Find an alternative

The payment is too small for the fixed wire cost

Use a fixed own sending fee including BSMV

Cheapest apps for sending abroad

I suggest comparing Wise’s variable conversion charge with UPTION’s destination price and the banking app’s full exchange and sending cost.

An Enpara wire can fit an existing dollar or euro balance, but its fixed fee weighs more heavily on a small payment.

The cheapest way to send money abroad from Turkey depends on the amount received, including any conversion, funding or bank deductions.

These live TRY 10,000 and TRY 50,000 examples cover seven destinations, with bank-payment prices kept separate from my app-feature ranking.

A local wallet transfer does not replace overseas delivery

Domestic FAST, EFT and havale move money within their supported local system, while an overseas bank or cash payment uses a different service.

UPTION can fund through a local EFT before arranging international delivery, which makes the pay-in method different from the recipient’s payout.

Western Union is also available through participating bank apps, including İşCep and Garanti BBVA, without requiring a separate international current account.

I'd say keep your domestic app for local payments, then choose the receiving method around the person or bill abroad.

Decide whether you need balances or just a transfer

Wise’s Türkiye restrictions leave bank-funded international sending available, but they do not provide the ordinary foreign-account and card package found in other markets.

UPTION has payment balances and a prepaid card, while banking apps can hold foreign deposits and make a matching bank payment.

For overseas income, the account’s receiving details and eligibility are separate from merely selecting a foreign currency when creating a transfer.

I suggest choosing around the balance you need to retain, rather than assuming every international app supplies a foreign bank account.

Compare the method before accepting the bank’s exchange

A SWIFT payment, a Western Union cash order and a supported card-based international payment can have different costs inside the same banking app.

Garanti’s method comparison helps with that decision, while İşCep lets you choose between bank delivery and collection through Western Union.

Buying a currency and sending an existing currency balance are also different costs, even when the recipient receives the same amount.

I'd say check the full quote for the chosen method, including tax and possible intermediary charges, before converting or confirming the payment.

How to send money abroad through an app

Choose the receiving method

Select a supported bank, card, wallet or cash route, then enter the recipient details required for that delivery method.

Complete registration and funding

Finish the app’s identity checks, then use its current bank instructions or fund the wallet through the offered local method.

Review the total price

Check the recipient amount beside the sending charge and exchange rate, including any loading fee, bank tax or intermediary deduction.

Save the confirmation

Keep the receipt or collection reference, then follow the transfer in the app and share the required details with your recipient.

Use the comparison form for your destination and amount, then choose the app and receiving method that fit your payment.

Our methodology & why trust us

I selected apps around lira funding, recipient access and mobile bank-payment functions, with local account restrictions kept separate from international sending.

Our research checked current Turkish app listings, regulated services, local tariffs and live TRY-origin transfer results.

I assessed signup, recipient management and payment-method choice alongside exchange charges, optional card costs and relevant bank deductions.

We may earn commission from some companies, but commercial agreements do not determine my selection or opinions.

Our review process explains how we assess transfer companies and their services.
