I think urpay is a good fit when you want several remittance networks inside one wallet, or STC Bank for international payments beside everyday banking.
Enjaz Pay provides a dedicated remittance wallet, while Western Union through Ersal suits direct mada funding and a recipient who needs cash.
If you already use Al Rajhi or SAB, their banking apps can keep overseas transfers beside your existing account.

STC Bank combines an account balance with international transfers, so you can send from money already available in the bank.
Its international screen lets you select the currency and track the order, with bank, cash or supported wallet delivery through Western Union.
I like that combination when you want salary funding and everyday card management beside your family payments abroad.
You can also manage savings and bills in the app, without treating the account as a foreign-currency holding wallet.
The current bank is the successor to stc pay, so its funding should not be confused with the former wallet's recharge rules.
Transfer fees are SAR15 for destinations including India, Bangladesh, Egypt and the Philippines, with other destinations priced at SAR20 or SAR25 before VAT.
Pakistan payments from SAR375 have no separate transfer fee, although the conversion rate still affects the amount received.
Below that threshold, the Pakistan transfer fee is SAR15 before VAT, making the amount relevant to the cost decision.

urpay lets you select an available remittance network before paying from your verified wallet balance.
Options include MoneyGram and Tahweel Al Rajhi, with bank, cash or eligible wallet delivery depending on the destination and service.
I like that choice when your recipient needs a particular receiving method and you want to check alternatives inside the same app.
You can top up through an approved Saudi bank account or card, SADAD, Apple Pay or Al Mubasher.
The funding instrument needs a Saudi billing address, and loading the wallet is separate from arranging the international order.
The SAR20,000 monthly recharge limit covers loading money for other spending too, rather than being a universal overseas sending allowance.
The transfer record keeps the reference and conversion details, while local bills and card spending are additional wallet functions.
The final sending fee varies with the payment, and top-up or card-issuer costs can add to the exchange-rate cost.

The current Enjaz Pay app lets you manage beneficiaries and choose between available Enjaz Easy, Transfast, Western Union or SWIFT services.
My suggestion is to choose SWIFT for a formal foreign bank payment, while the remittance services cover supported bank, cash and wallet recipients.
You fund the verified wallet through an approved card, bank transfer or designated channel, then use the available balance to send.
Beneficiary history and biometric authentication keep repeat orders on your phone, with card freezing and local payments as additional functions.
This is the new Enjaz Pay product, rather than the legacy app or an Albilad current-account-only transfer flow.
Its current app tariff for Easy, Transfast and SWIFT ranges from SAR0 to SAR50 before VAT, depending on the payment.
That does not make every transfer free, and the separate Western Union quote varies with the amount and destination.
The exchange rate and any funding or card-issuer charge still need to be included in the total debit.

Western Union's Saudi app can take a payment from your Saudi-issued mada debit card without loading another remittance wallet first.
You can verify online through Absher, or use Ersal's in-person verification route, then create the overseas order.
Saved recipients and resend history help with repeat payments, while the MTCN lets you follow the transfer through to collection.
I suggest using this direct app when a recipient needs cash and you want the payment funded from your existing bank card.
Bank delivery is also available for supported destinations, but its arrival time differs from cash being released for collection.
You can start digitally and pay in person, which is a separate funding choice from completing the mada payment on your phone.
The online limit is SAR10,000, with the fee and exchange rate quoted for the destination, amount and receiving method.
Cash can be ready within minutes after release, although the recipient still needs identification and an open participating collection location.

If you already bank with SAB, its mobile app lets you activate an international beneficiary and pay from your account balance.
Available receiving choices include bank, cash, wallet and card payments, with the destination determining which ones you can use.
You can follow account activity and download documents, with biometric or OTP authentication and customer chat beside the payment.
Eligible Private, Premier and Advance accounts can also use Global View and Transfer for their own linked HSBC accounts abroad.
Those accounts need linking through SAB Online first, and the feature is separate from an ordinary family remittance.
SAB's foreign-currency current accounts hold chosen denominations, which can help when you want to retain foreign income rather than convert immediately.
I suggest assessing them alongside other multi-currency accounts in Saudi Arabia, without assuming the debit card automatically spends every currency balance.
The mobile service is free, while ordinary electronic foreign-bank transfers have a maximum SAR40 fee before VAT.
Named destination-currency telex routes, including India, Pakistan and the Philippines, have a SAR15 fee before VAT, with conversion and possible bank deductions separate.

Tahweel is available through the current Al Rajhi Bank app, so you do not need to look for a separate Tahweel app.
You add and activate the overseas beneficiary, then arrange the payment from your available bank balance.
The app also supports standing orders for payments and remittances, which I like when you need to organise repeat commitments.
Account and card management sit beside the transfer record, with Tahweel centres and other channels available for separate support or sending needs.
Those channels have their own funding arrangements, so counter cash payment should not be confused with loading money inside the bank app.
The sending screen gives the fee, exchange rate and recipient amount, with correspondent deductions relevant to the receiving bank.
I suggest using the bank app for established beneficiaries and repeat account-funded payments, rather than opening a bank account solely for an occasional card-funded transfer.

barq lets you send from an available wallet balance to a supported foreign bank, cash location or digital wallet.
You add the beneficiary and payment instructions in the app, then keep the transfer reference and history for tracking.
Funding can use an approved bank account, debit or credit card, with the chosen method determining any additional cost.
I like it when you already keep money in barq for local payments and can use the same balance for an overseas order.
Card spending and Qattah are additional local features, without turning the wallet into a foreign multi-currency account.
The transfer quote includes the sending charge and conversion, while a receiving institution or card issuer can add another cost.
My suggestion is to compare the foreign amount received rather than choose solely on a promotional fee waiver.
The international feature requires an eligible verified account, and the separate minor account cannot make overseas transfers.

Cheapest apps for sending from Saudi Arabia
The lowest sending fee does not always give your recipient the most money, because the exchange rate changes the result.
For Pakistan, STC Bank's fee waiver from SAR375 is worth checking alongside the recipient amount in another local app.
Enjaz Pay has a destination-dependent fee, while urpay lets you choose between available transfer services before confirming the quote.

Direct mada payment or a funded wallet
Western Union can take a mada payment directly, while urpay, Enjaz Pay and barq send using money already available in their wallets.
I suggest choosing around where your money sits, because topping up an extra wallet can introduce another step or charge.
STC Bank, SAB and Al Rajhi use account funding, which can make sense when your salary or savings are already there.
For a domestic payment, your banking app or local wallet may be enough, without selecting an international remittance service.
Use the current app and prepare the beneficiary
STC Bank is the successor to stc pay, while Enjaz Pay is a different current product from the legacy Enjaz app.
Use the current official download link, because an old app's rating or funding instructions do not establish how the new product works.
Complete the National ID or Iqama checks and keep your registered Saudi mobile number available for the required verification.
Prepare the beneficiary before an urgent payment, with the exact bank, wallet or cash-collection details matching the recipient.
Keep VAT and currency conversion separate
Some sending fees are shown before VAT, so the final debit can exceed the fee headline even before conversion affects the payment.
Check whether the quoted fee includes VAT, then use the exchange rate and recipient amount to judge the complete cost.
A fixed fee also takes a larger share of a small payment, which can change your choice for regular family transfers.
How to send money abroad through an app
Select the receiving method
Choose the supported bank, cash or wallet option your recipient needs, then select an app that can deliver it.
Prepare verification and the beneficiary
Complete the identity checks and activate the required recipient before arranging an urgent overseas payment.
Choose funding and review the total
Select direct mada payment, a wallet balance or bank funding, then review the fee, VAT, conversion and recipient amount.
Confirm and retain the reference
Authorise the transfer and keep its receipt or tracking number until the recipient can use the money.
Check the receiving option and total riyal debit in the app, then keep the transfer record after confirming the payment.
Enter your destination and amount to compare available SAR transfer fees, exchange rates and recipient amounts.
Our methodology & why trust us
I selected Saudi-eligible mobile services around direct funding, wallet remittances and bank-account payments, with the actual receiving options kept separate.
Our research checked current Saudi app-store listings, official mobile flows, local entities and current fee schedules rather than legacy product descriptions.
I assessed beneficiary management and account extras alongside conversion, funding charges and the restrictions that change the choice.
