Revolut increases its plans' prices as part of a broader overhaul

  • The adjustment is part of the overhaul that will have the company avail more benefits to its customers.

Revolut has announced an increase in price for its subscription plans. This is part of the overhaul that will have the company avail more benefits to its customers.

Revolut’s plans pricing

Revolut is a global neobank and fintech company that offers an array of banking services. It has five pricing plans that include the Standard, Plus, Premium, Metal, and Ultra plans. The Ultra plan is the firm’s top-end membership. On the other hand, customers of the Standard option enjoy free features and services for a day-to-day account.

As part of the announced overhaul, the company has reviewed the prices of its Plus, Premium, and Metal plans in the UK. For instance, customers of the Plus plan will pay £3.99 per month; up from £2.99. At the same time, the Premium plan will attract £7.99 monthly from £6.99 while the Metal option will cost £14.99 per month, up from £12.99.

However, the existing customers are in a position to benefit from the current plan price for a year by switching from monthly to annual billing. This exception will be applicable if the customer makes the shift before the date highlighted in the email sent to them by Revolut.

Currently, customers of Revolut’s Premium and Metal plans enjoy a range of benefits including global travel insurance, purchase and refund protection, as well as ticket cancellation insurance. The perks also include personalized exclusive cards and to exchange unlimited funds on weekdays at no additional exchange fees.

Notably, the adjustment of Revolut’s plans pricing is part of a broader overhaul meant to bring additional benefits to its customers. For instance, customers of the Premium and Metal plans can now access subscriptions to various lifestyle apps including Financial Times, Tinder, and Freeletics.

Revolut’s general manager of Premium Products, Tara Massoudi has noted, “We’re launching a unique offering, which will bring together a carefully selected bundle of lifestyle subscription services included with your Revolut Plan…As part of enhancing our paid plans, additional exciting benefits will come to Ultra customers in due course, too.”
