International Money Express, Inc. (Intermex) has partnered with Visa with the aim of further expanding its money transfer services. This also includes enhancing its customers’ experience by facilitating fast money transfers to eligible Visa cards and bank accounts in over 20 nations that were previously not served by the company.
Founded in 1994, Intermex has grown into an omnichannel money transfer services company that allows its customers to send funds from the US, Canada, and Europe to over 60 nations. It does so via a network of agent retailers, company-operated stores, a mobile app, and its website. The transactions are completed through numerous retail and bank locations worldwide.
With regard to the company’s collaboration with Visa, Intermex’s Chief Product & Digital Officer, Marcelo Theodoro stated, “Our central focus is to deliver reliable, efficient, transparent, and convenient services to our customers worldwide through our omnichannel strategy. This collaboration between Intermex and Visa will help expand our digital offering and unlock more choices and flexibility for migrant workers in the US sending funds to their loved ones abroad.”
Intermex’s expanded integration with Visa Direct will allow its customers to send funds to countries in the Caribbean, Asia, Europe, and Africa. Visa Direct offers a single point of access to numerous endpoints, thus facilitating the transfer of money to eligible bank accounts, cards, and digital wallets across the world.
