Paysend has announced its partnership with Ontop; a global payroll platform. By collaborating with this global payments company, Ontop will enable employers to pay their workers and contractors in a faster and more cost-effective manner. The payroll platform works with over 950 firms worldwide by offering compliance, payroll services, and employer-of-record services (EoR).
Paysend-Ontop partnership
Paysend has collaborated with Ontop in a move aimed at powering the latter company’s new payout-to-cards capability for employee and contractor payroll. Subsequently, the remote workers that are usually paid via this global payroll platform will be in a position to transfer funds directly to their local cards in a fast and cost-friendly manner.
In order to enjoy Paysend, contractors will need to avail their personal details in order to access their funds directly via Visa or Mastercard. The required details include their complete names and bank card number. With this setup, workers that use Ontop will no longer be subject SWIFT or intermediary bank charges.
According to Paysend’s Managing Director for the US and LATAM region, Jairo Riveros, the firm’s “market-leading card-to-card payments platform will save time and money, processing salary payments to workers quicker and more cost-effectively than via the banking network”.
The collaboration between Paysend and Ontop is in line with the global payment platform’s expansion strategy. In April 2023, it extended its reach in the LATAM region by enabling customers within the US to transfer funds to bank accounts in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, and Uruguay. This is after expanding to Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica in 2022.
